We stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco while attending a conference across the street at the Hyatt Regency and wanted to try something different. We were very pleased with the hotel. Our first room was comfortable, clean, and nicely sized, but it did not have enough storage space to unpack our clothes. We spoke with Sophie at the front desk, and she was wonderful. She helped move us to another room and upgraded us to a junior suite, which made a big difference. The new room was excellent, with plenty of storage and a very comfortable layout. The hotel was clean, convenient, and upscale, with a more classic and elegant feel than the Hyatt Regency across the street. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it.

The hotel is fabulous. We love staying there. It is in walking distance to all the venues for concerts, etc. We love taking our dogs and walking all over Salt Lake City. We love the free coffee in the morning, the restaurant and the bar, the lovely staff. The valet parking is top notch. The room is comfortable and the shower is great. It really is the best place to stay in Salt Lake.

It had been more than 5 years since I last stayed at the Monaco...and what a great surprise. The renovated rooms were bright, modern, efficiently furnished (hip?). The bathroom was updated, and although still somewhat small, they felt much roomier than in the past. Our room was quiet and had a great view of the city. I actually dreaded going back to the Monaco...but instead can't wait to go again!
