Great bed, plenty of pillows, great tub. Desperately need WiFi extenders, extremely noisy road. Best fish and chips I had in all of England and Wales.

Great location with good food

Lovely quiet village location rooms are very good and roomy I stayed in an annex across the road which were lovely Good and drink is good in the pub and the breakfast was very good Friendly and helpful staff

Nice stay.

Nice stay. Room really nice and bed very comfortable. Could have been excellent if they were to pay attention to detail on cleaning of shower screen, mildew on windows and painting of walls.

Wonderful place to stay. Lovely decor in the room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Spotlessly clean. Lovely extras like fresh milk for your cuppa. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very tasty breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend.

great room and facilities with a fan in the room but on a hot night could really do with air con, on the whole the stay was exceptional

The pub and accommodation were amazing and felt very homely. I guess the only downside was the fried breakfast, the sausages were very dry and not enough beans. But it was ok.

We stayed two nights at this property. Room was okay, but I think we got their last room. It had a nice bar and outdoor sitting area but the food was not good. Presentation was good but taste and quality not good. We wouldn’t choose to eat there again.

A very short and pleasant stay.

It was a last minute late night stop over after a missed flight to Stansted. Arrived at 9.30pm to a warm welcome. Kitchen was closed down, but I was offered sandwiches or cheese and biscuits. The cheese was great. Room was spacious and well presented. Across the road from the inn. Comfortable bed. Everything I needed. Had a lovely cooked breakfast served by friendly staff. Even the little spider in my sugar wasn’t a negative. It is a country Inn and wildlife is always present. Based on the few hours I was there, I’d recommend it.

Lovely pub, average accommodation

The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). Bed nice and comfy, unfortunately we were near the road so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. The resident cats will wake you up early whilst they’re waiting for breakfast though if the traffic doesn’t! We were charged £25 extra for our dog which is a bit steep in my opinion. We also didn’t get the dog bed/treats that we read about after and had to bring our own so not sure what that cost is for. Would definitely return for dinner, however I wouldn’t stay over again.

Booked a Superior room ..was given a basic room. Queried this with Staff on check in who advised we had the room booked. Prior to check out asked a member of Staff what room type we had and was advised we had the basic room. We then queried again with Manager on check out .. He wasn’t happy but advised it was a problem at Expedia .. selling Superior rooms that they didn’t have. We have still been over charged as was charged for a Courtyard room and we did not have this .. we had a room in a block. The Manager’s answer was our room would have been cooler !! Either Expedia are mis-describing which I find hard to believe or the property are taking advantage. The Manager advised Expedia describe their rooms and not the property themselves. Will be taking this further as I do not like being taken for a fool! Shame as the property was not, but £220 for one night in a basic room (room only) is extortionate when you are not being given what you have paid for !
