"I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up.
You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. "

"The hotel is old world , but badly needs a bit of loving care , but despite being a Britannia Hotel... it was fairly good. We were eating out , but the restaurant looked very nice. with good value prices.
Our 'Seaview room turned out to be a 'Partial View' not Seaview as shown on website which comes at an extra charge of £15. Hotels.com needs to be more careful when advertising rooms... Seaview - to me -does not mean Partial Seaview."
"Bar closed early - even to residents! Staff were very friendly - room was great although decoratively a little tired - breakfast was good - only one cup of coffee or tea offered, would be better with a pot of tea or coffee.
Generally a good place to stay"
"The hotel just next to the beach, beautiful view from the window although the windows can’t be opened, room are clean and bed are comfortable. Limited amenities such as toiletries (toothpaste, bins) no telephone in the room, no fan as well but it’s ok for the price it’s offered.
Feedback for the key - it’s quite diffuse to lock the door, we need to figure it out how to lock the door, may be making more simple?. And if possible to have internal phone to connect us with the reception in case we need it to ask for help or just information. Since we were in level 3 so we need to go down to ask the reception.
Overall, thank you for convenience stay!"
"The George, like most properties in Rye is a very old building which whilst adding to its charm also presents the usual issues surrounding layout and maintenance
We had room 29 which was a reasonable size however looked tied and was decorated in a Psychedelic Orange patterned wall paper covering all walls and ceiling!!
Evidence of mould on window frames however over all the room was clean
Like all hotels in Rye the cost of room was higher than your usual hotel stay but that is the price of staying in Rye
Food looked good however we ate out as plenty of good quality options close by with greater variety and cheaper prices"
"Nice room view of seafront. Shame glass of doors pretty dirty and balcony glass. As not a very clear view. Cot supplied for my grandson. Not as described. No bedding. Took 3 goes to get in put in room.
Signs of wear and tear in room and bathroom. Room service very good. Parking at front of hotel . Can get permit when u check in. Overall feeling when checking in and out. Not the friendlies. Checking out didn't even give eye contact.
Overall was a good night away. Good location. Very quiet room. Not bad for the money"
