Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"The check-in was fast. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and I appreciated that the windows opened. I ate at the restaurant and the food (steak and ale pie) was delicious. Also, you purchased the ticket to take the shuttle to the airport during check-in. The shuttle arrives every 10 minutes. Overall, a great stay at the hotel."

Premier Inn Edinburgh Park - Airport

10/10 Excellent
"There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about this hotel perfect, The train or tram station just across the road with only 1 station between Edinburgh Park and Waverley station central Edinburgh. Restaurant food and breakfast we couldn’t expect anything more, really good. Plenty of payed parking £5 for 24hrs choose how many days you’re staying. Room quiet, air-conditioned. There is one thing we don’t like and it’s common to all accommodation in the UK and Europe, Duvet’s (Doona)are to hot, In winter the heaters are on and summer not needed, Manytimes this is an issue talking to other tourists. I wish for top sheet with blanket only."

ibis budget Edinburgh Park

8/10 Good
"We liked the friendly staff, breakfast, cleanliness, comfy beds, warm powerful shower, tea and coffee on tap (using a machine in the communal dining room, with REAL FRESH milk- there's no kettle in the room and no long life milk). The tram to airport/Edinburgh is a 5 to 10 minute walk, and the train station is just a bit further on. There's a cheap(ish) restaurant up the road, a 25 minute walk. We didn't like the temperature of the room- it was cold and turning up the air con didn't work. We also found it a bit odd that the bathroom is within the bedroom. As we were 2 single people we had to put our coats over the wall mirror opposite the shower, for privacy. The toilet had a touch-close door but it felt a bit vulnerable. We would have liked some sofas in the communal areas, to relax with a drink. We would stay there again."

Norton House Hotel & Spa

Norton House Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful resort just on the fringes Edinburgh, spectacular spa facilities. The room was spacious, clean, with lots of character. The indoor swimming pool is clean, modern, with sauna room, hot tub and other amazing alternatives to relax. We travelled by car and we found it very easy to visit the old city by dropping our vehicle in the nearby park and ride and catch a tram from there. The restaurant is great, excellent steakes, atmospheric and a gigantic pizza for the kid...the only small complain is that the service was a bit distracted for this kind of fine dining experience, asked for the dessert menu three times then decided to just ask the bill. Just a minor issue, overall great experience and we'll try other options from the same hotel chain closer to home."
