"Whilst the bedrooms are somewhat dated and needing a little tlc, the staff more than make up for this. We travelled with our dog and this hotel is genuinely dog friendly (not just dog tolerant as some hotels turn out to be). The staff really could not do enough with everyone helpful, cheerful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and breakfast and dinner excellent. Parking was no problem and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here. The staff really do go the extra mile. "

"Friendly welcome from the host, and some good advice where to eat/ drink/ walk etc. Really enjoyed the relaxing breakfast with nice rustic touches and a nice tea pot etc. Sausages were amazing
