"Great getaway "

"My family was in Peoria to see my college son's orchestra performance. Check in was easy and seamless. Tom the manager was incredibly helpful and friendly, and made our stay more special by upgrading my oldest son and his girlfriend to a suite so our entire family would have the possibility of hanging out together in one place. The suite was absolutely stunning! The hotel overall is beautiful with the latest renovations, we've stayed here before and it is like an entirely new hotel now. The only disappointment for our group was sharing the hotel with baseball tournament teams, the pool was overrun with kids all night (which is to be expected when booking teams in a hotel) so my own adult kids were unable to enjoy this amenity as they had hoped. Maybe next time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Peoria."

"Hot tub was out of order. Carpet in the room was coming up off the floor, bathroom door wasn’t latching shut and we had to go get a full set of towels from the desk upon check in as there weren’t any in the bathroom."

"Room was clean, fully stocked, the pool was great. Never had issues during our stay. The 24 hour gym was perfect."

"We ended up staying here after leaving the hotel we had initially booked due to safety and maintenance issues. We were greeted immediately and had a friendly chat with Nick, the front desk guy (Happy Birthday, Nick!) and another associate, who gave us helpful suggestions for where to eat nearby. Everything was clean and modern. Security factors (locks, exterior lighting, etc) all were in place and functioning. Room was comfortable and I liked the bed so much we may order one. We didn't use the amenities much, but I did have some breakfast in the morning, which was decent, if largely comprised of processed items. *Note to Holiday Inn corporate: Please consider shifting to reusable diningware instead of the extensive use of plastic utensils and styrofoam in your many, many hotels. It would make a huge difference in the amount of landfill waste you create and in the environmental footprint you leave behind. And the addition of a commercial dishwasher would likely pay for itself in a very reasonable and economically-sound timeframe. Thanks."

"I would like a refund. I ended up paying for a room we didn't use, because the cancellation period was no longer applicable once (24 hours before arrival), and the pictures provided of the property did NOT represent what we saw and experienced. There were a number of safety concerns that made this hotel unworkable for us. The side door (where we were told to park as it was closest to our room) had an electronic key lock for security, but it was propped open and didn't close properly when I tried to secure it. The parking lot had a broken off concrete stub where the streetlight used to be, so there was no light for coming and going from the car to the hotel. (This was of particular concern, since we were in town for a family member's surgery, and I would be returning to the hotel alone that night while she stayed at the hospital.) Also, although I can't definitively blame the hotel for this, the place seemed totally deserted. Two cars and a worker's truck were the only vehicles in the large parking lot. There were several problematic maintenance issues. The exterior entrance had cups and fast food containers littered around and the garbage bin was overflowing. There was dirt (or maybe dark chips) out of the toilet seat in the room they assigned us. There was a discarded washing machine on its side, cracks in the cement, and overgrown weeds throughout the parking lot, which contained only two cars aside from ours. Nope. We felt neither safe nor comfortable and left."

"The coffee maker was broken in the room. The parking garage is falling apart and dangerous"

"Rooms need severe updating, carpeting in halls very stained, carpeting frayed in rooms and stained. Sheets did not fit mattress. Outside areas had cigarette butts all over Breakfast very nice with pleasant staff. Bartender on 2 nights extremely frustrated, rude, throwing things. Children allowed to race around floors, yelling, had to call front desk 2x up to 11 PM. Would never use again as very expensive for a sub-standard facility."
