"Everything was great except the breakfast. Way too few choices. They could also fix the bean bag boards. But that is just nitpicking. Book your stay there, you will be happy. The view of the lake is spectacular, pool is just big enough and not too deep, you can pretty much walk to any place in Ephraim. We'll be back. Money well spent."
"As always, the front desk gal was awesome. Always helpful and knew all the great places to eat/visit. While the property is aging, it has a north woods charm and appeal. Clean and well taken care of. The daily ice delivery is a nice touch, the young lad was friendly almost making us question how the heck they find such great help. Breakfast is a hit. Always some same favorites but a daily rotation that made it fun to show up for. We will be back as we have been for the past 10 years. Thank you Gordon Lodge!"
"A nice place with a Scandinavian vibe. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Close to the waterfront and town amenities. Our room was a lower level with a walk out to a patio. The only downside was that it smelled a bit musty since it was located near the inside pool every time we entered until we opened the outside doors or turned on the air conditioner. We would definitely stay there again but on an upper floor."
"The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. Hard to find that quality of restaurant in the UP. It was an overnight stopover for me.It's going to be standard overnight stop off point. Hotel staff was great too. Can't say enough good things."
"We enjoyed our fireplace suite tremendously as it had everything we needed. The indoor pool and hot tub were a great bonus after a busy day. Location was perfect for us!"
"Upon check in we were given keys to our assigned room and upon entry there was someone else's belongings already in there. The staff took a long time to sort through the issue, including "shh'ing" me when I was trying to ask for an update. Did not instill confidence that our room would be secure and no accommodations for the inconvenience were offered."
"The property has a beautiful view of the bay. The room we had (116) had a constant annoying humming noise in the bathroom. Also, there is a door to the adjacent room that is not very soundproof. (We could hear the person next door sneeze and cough).
The resort is adjacent to the Old Post Office restaurant. The restaurant has excellent breakfast food. They also have a fish boil. (The fish boil does create a parking issue for the resort guests. Management addressed our noise concerns. We would recommend staying at this resort but pass on room 116."
