For the money, this was EXACTLY what we wanted. The place is very quiet, super cute!!! and has a nice view. 110% would stay here again without a 2nd thought. We travel a lot and this was as good as it gets for our expectations.

Fantastic place to stay. We will definitely be back again. Room was clean & comfortable. Had just about everything you would need for your stay right there in the room. The common area with kitchen was fantastic if coming back from fishing late. Only missed a pizza pan but we improvised. Eric the inn keeper was super friendly and helpful! Being right across the street from the launch was great!

We had a wonderful time at Harbor Light Inn. The stay was comfortable and peaceful, it’s a great place to stay to be close enough to activities but far enough away for a quiet, relaxing place to stay. The view was also amazing right from our balcony. We would highly recommend staying here.

Nice, quiet place in a good location. The location is within walking distance of a nice supper club, the bay is just across the road, and there are lovely hiking areas nearby. Less touristy and populated than the other Door County towns, Gills Rock seemed just north enough to be a real place. Our room was spacious and nice. Instructions for arriving and code entrance were good, though it was not clear that the rooms all have separate entrances and are scattered on every side of each buildings. As we were trying the front door to see if it led to the other rooms, someone cleaning a room greeted us with a “didn’t you read your email!?” and we never saw another soul during our stay. Sauna was nice.

A very quiet, friendly establishment. Even though the AC wasn't working, the owner provided a very good fan to make nights comfortable.

Really, really nice!

The room with step-out balcony looking at the bay was wonderful! We had a kitchenette, table and chairs, 4-cup coffee maker and frig. They supplied a second luggage rack and plenty of towels, etc. The keyless entry was nice. No worries about losing our keys. The location is nice, too. Not far from a lot of haps in Sister Bay and not far from the ferries out to the islands.
We were on the second floor just to the left of the big tree in the middle. The First Mate's Quarters.

The place was very cute and quiet. Uneven floors and sidewalks and deck boards made it a bit uneasy to get around. Poor lighting outside caused me to trip on a railroad tie by the parking.

The Troll Cottage was an amazing place to stay for family. It was a detached room so it gives more privacy. The rustic vibe of the place surrounded by trees will give an added feel of peace and relaxation. Special thanks to Eric! he was very helpful with instructions for check in and very attentive to our requests. He even set up a bonfire for us to enjoy the cold fall weather fall at night at the backyard. It’s worth the 4.5 hours drive from the Chicagoland area. This place is highly recommended and very near the Washington Ferry Island ferry station in case folks would want to visit the Washington Island for a day trip. warm thanks again Eric for the superb accommodation!

Eric, the caretaker, started a fire each night for us to sit by! Very nice. Also immediately responded to broken lamp in our room and fixed it. No hangers on the lovely rack in hall, nor enough shelves or towel bars in bathroom. Bed was most comfortable. Front door screen was torn and door unable to close fully. Thankfully no mosquitoes in Sept! The caretaker did a great job! Owner needs to fix the place up- paint, doors, sulfur smell whenever hot water was used. Room was very clean! Nice little table area for snacks and coffee. Sat on porch in the sun both late afternoons. There is a great room for common use which we didn’t use, but was fully stocked! Worth the drive at the end of the road in Gills Rock.
