"Parking was great right in front of your room, the property is aged, but the rooms were clean air-conditioning and heating worked. We needed both on our trip lol. The staff was very kind and worked with me before the trip to modify my reservation even when Expedia was making it difficult minor challenge they said breakfast was served at 7 AM and when I got there at 7:15, nobody was in the lobby, which put a crimp in our schedule. I believe they didn’t show up until around 7:45. That’s a minor thing, however, keep that in mind if you’re on a tight schedule. In addition, we drove in in a very stormy night and the night Manager checked in to make sure we’re still on our way as we’ve been trapped in fog and rain and several wrecks on the road and when we assured it, we’ll be there before 10:30. "I recently stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Ithaca Downtown and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and clearly well maintained. The location is excellent, and the rooms were comfortable—especially the beds. Where the experience fell short was on the service side. The staff, while friendly, often came across as a bit disengaged and not particularly attentive. There were small but noticeable issues—like empty coffee stations and long wait times at the restaurant (we were told 45 minutes for food), which made it feel understaffed. That said, one staff member in the restaurant on Friday night made a genuine effort to improve the experience, which was appreciated. With a stronger focus on service and staffing, this hotel could easily match the high quality of its physical space."
