"Very nice place overall. My family and I are extremely happy. I am actually planning to come back again; however, my only comment is about the beach. There are many rocks in the ocean and around the beach entrance that make walking harder because they're in the water; you can't see them until they hit your leg, and the edges could be cleaner. I know it's nature, but the resort could do a better job keeping the beach edges clean. Besides that, the entertainment, restaurants, and the buffet are great; all the staff is very nice and helpful. No complaints at all."

"We had an awesome stay at the hotel. Personnel were great, the food at the restaurants were incredible, the room was beautiful! The seaweed situation (out of their control) made snorkling less enjoyable and the beach has a lot of sharp coral at the edge, but for the rest it was a truly enjoyable vacation. Very pleased!"

"Our family (including 13 and 16 year old) absolutely loved this resort! We visited for a week in July in Family Select. The resort was not crowded at all and we loved our ability to use all of the resorts, restaurants and pools. We found the staff to be incredibly kind and loved getting to see our waitstaff at various restaurants throughout the week. There is literally something for everyone, but I would not say this is a fast-paced, party type resort. This is excellent for relaxing family time. Can’t say enough about all the perks, the people and the wildlife. we really enjoyed the swim up room as well. Definitely was worth it for us."

"Our stay at Secrets Akumal Resort was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The resort is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, the food was excellent, and the service throughout the property was truly exceptional. A special thank you goes to Karen Blanco, the concierge for Building 3. She went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable. Karen was always friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was taken care of. Whether it was helping with reservations, informing us of daily activitie, answering questions, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, she consistently exceeded our expectations. It's employees like Karen who make a great resort truly outstanding. Her genuine kindness, warm personality, and dedication to guest satisfaction made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. Also, want to shout out Isaac, the main pool coordinator and Francisco who helped with food, drinks and good conversation. Literally every staff member we came across was amazing. We highly recommend Secrets Akumal to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic, luxurious vacation with first-class service. We can't wait to return."

"The staff were very helpful. It was hard to get reservations for dinner, but one staff member helped us out! The catch is regular guest versus premium guest. It would bro knowing this when you book your trip through Expedia! The buffets have the same food each day, it was OK."
