"This is not a hotel, it rents rooms by the hour it is a brothel,we booked for the night through expedia.
It does not have a cafe, coffee shop or restaurant, it has a 24 hr kitchen that will bring meals to your room.
There is no pool and nobody speaks english. The pictures do not match the property.
It is a very dangerous area of the city, where Uber drivers are hesitant to come pick you up.
We only stayed the one night and have to question why Expedia lists this property."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Rio. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of their renovated rooms near the top floor, and it was incredible. The new soft bed, the room decor was fresh and the VIEW from the balcony was incredible. Breakfast on the first floor was very well displayed, and the staff at the hotel was very welcoming. Can’t forget the rooftop pool and restaurant. Make sure you check it out. I will definitely return."
"Everything was perfect from the breakfast buffet to the pool rooftop view which was amazing!! The bellhops were the best especially the one they call J. And also Matteu. "
"Room and bathroom was unclean. Dirty bed linen, dust/trash under bed under bed and sofa bed provided. The bathroom sink would back up with water and took a long time to drain.
I was not notified that the middle elevator did not stop at the 8th and 7th floors. Used the stairs to get to my room several times.
Chaotic breakfast seating my table was taken while I got my food, but a good and varied breakfast spread."
"Let me start by saying the hotel is beautiful, I booked a Junior suite & it was stunning. Unfortunately, our experience at Nacional was disappointing. We arrived for a 5 night stay on Easter Sunday Apr 5th & on arrival the front desk told us we didn't have a reservation even though we'd fully prepaid for our room through Expedia. I showed them copies of the confirmation on the app, the printed email showing it was paid & the message the hotel sent us through the Expedia app the day before providing us with check-in details. After about 30 minutes they found our reservation but in their system it was for the 6th not 5th & they told me to contact Expedia, because it was an Expedia problem, not theirs. I contacted Expedia who confirmed we clearly had a reservation from the 5th-10th, but since it was Easter Sunday the hotel said the only way they can let us check in was if we paid for the night of the 5th & they'd sort it out the next day. So we paid & it turned out the hotel charged it to us as a cash advance instead of a credit card charge, the next day they cancelled the charge, but due to how they processed it we lost out on the exchange & were charged a cash advance fee, When I asked them to fix it they told me to take my issue up with Expedia & my bank. Unfortunately, it didn't get better, they treated us like 2nd class guests during our stay. Housekeeping decided to skip our room on day 1 even though we reminded them twice & we had to ask for towels daily. SO DISAPPOINTING"
