"Great Copacabana location and very polite staff. Good breakfast options. Magnificant view of the beach! Rooftop offers beautiful views and nice bar and pool. Beach amenities are good - polite staff there as well, and beach is just accross the street - very convenient. Strangelly, hotel’s coffee machine in the room could not be plugged into a room socket without adapter.. shower only had top head and not the flexible one. Water in the shower was berely warm, even if I waited for 10 minutes, no hot water. Only 1 small bottle of water offered in the room free of charge and only on the arrival day. Wifi not working. No soundproof rooms, child in the next room crying through the night sounded like it was next to me. Floor carpet was very visibly stained in the entire room. Balcony doors could not close fully to block noise from the street…"

"We were extremely pleased with the service and amenities at the Miramar. We arrived extremely early as a result of coming from a cruise, and they accommodated us as soon as possible with an early check-in and an upgrade. The room was very attractive and well appointed. We had an ocean view on a lower floor, which pleased us, as we could enjoy seeing all the activity on Copacabana Beach. We ate dinner in their restaurant several times and found the food to be quite delicious, and we enjoyed the menu at the pool bar as well. The staff was very accommodating when my illness forced us to cancel our flight and extend our stay, and they did their best to make arrangements, even though the hotel was sold out. I strongly recommend this hotel for its very convenient and attractive location, for the superior staff, and for the most appealing and comfortable rooms."

"The concierge staff was overall kind and helpful. Roger and another gentleman on his shift, who also wore glasses, answered questions, gave directions, and offered recommendations. They were especially warm. The manager was also as accommodating as his position would permit. Everyone I encountered in the hotel was pleasant and approachable. I liked my room. Though the building’s infrastructure is a bit old (as evidenced by the whining of the pipes when the bathroom faucet is engaged) the hotel satisfied most guests’ concerns in that it was quiet, clean, and had useful amenities like a gym and sunlit rooftop. Also, I felt safe in the hotel. The location is ideal as it sits within 5-7 minutes walk from the beach and within walking distance of shops and an array of restaurants and bars. My party had to venture to Lapa for the night life we desired and we were very pleased with that outcome. Though I didn’t eat breakfast, the buffet was stacked and replenished. We didn’t feel rushed at its closing and the buffet staff was also kind and accommodating, within reason. My party was able to fill up for our day long excursions on an array of familiar and new favorites ( I.e. pao de queso) foods every morning. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers to Rio. It may not be a 5-star hotel but the staff, service, and amenities were everything I’d expect of one. My hotel stay is included among the reasons I enjoyed my stay in Rio!"

"The hotel and staff were very nice. However, I wish there were more nighttime entertainment options, more variety in the daily breakfast menu, and complimentary beverages included with the free dinner. These small changes would make the stay even better!"
