"The staff are lovely and the location is great The rooms are dated and need refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable and the king size bed was covered with two small sheets rather than one big one. The sink had a big crack in it. I wouldn’t have sold that room with that sink. There’s a lot of noise from restaurant patrons leaving and the people in the rooms above made a lot of noise at 2am. "There was a nice feel to this hotel. It felt homely with it's creaky wooden stairs and beautiful bannister; when we came in late at night and let ourselves in through the big door with a key and crept up the stairs to our room so we didn't disturb any others, it felt like coming home! The staff were kind and smiley. Everything was simple but very clean and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice: fresh fruit, yoghurt, meats, smoked salmon, cheeses and breads. "We were first offered an upstairs apartment but I explained my condition and was immediately offered a beautiful ground floor flat with all amenities We didn’t use them except the kettle and the shower was great The sitting area and bedroom was a lot better than expected All in all fully recommended for short or long stay. The town with its tree lined foot ways was a peaceful dream Parking was private and secure.. Thank you for our stay"

"Modern room with almost all of the amenities you would expect -- refrigerator, TV, kettle -- but there is no AC so be aware. The bathroom was roomy, with a tub/shower (but watch your step getting in). For me this was a convenient location to walk through the old parts of the city and it's narrow, cobblestone roads."

"Brilliant hotel. It's the second time I have stayed there. Always a pleasure! The breakfast was amazing! Great mini bar. I did not have time to try the pool in the end, as I went to Vita Sol. Next time! The first receptionist was lovely, very welcoming. The second one was not so good, but all in all 10 out of 10. The hotel could do with a slight revamp as it's showing its age, worn carpets etc. But still a great hotel Great view from the balcony. Near to the Kurpark & Vita Sol. Pretty amazing really. The staff all work hard Can't wait to go again!"

"The receptionist, Yvonne, was the best I have ever encountered. She was bending over backwards to help, and as I witnessed, not just to me and my disabled wife, but to every guest who came in. This superb help made our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. In addition, the breakfast was also very good with a wonderful variety of options."
