Hotels near Rice Museum Langkawi

"I would highly recommend Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa at langkawi. Our room was great. The service was excellent and I would particularly like to praise Leesa (greeter at the front of the hotel) for providing wonderful customer service. The location of the hotel is perfect. We booked a taxi for getting to things that are not a walk away (Best service +60 12-5699950) You can walk down the beach to shops or take the footpath. The beach is much more scenic at nighwith fire throwers, places to eat and drink (very ambient at night). Check out the "Ah Chong Beach Bar & Cafe" right on the beach and about 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The food at the hotel is also great. The Pelangi Grill does a great breakfast spread with a beach view and you can choose what you like. The dinner menu is also good. The lamb shanks were so tender and it was the best mashed potato and gravy. They also do a board that has two steaks, grilled chicken and two racks of lamb with vegies etc There is more on the menu but they were my two favourite.. It is designed for two and it is very nice. The shops are a short walk away. We filled a suitcase with the things we found there. Check out the places recommended to see. Also hire a taxi to see the "Dream Forest" Take a photo before they open the door that looks like a book. The Pizza Hut and Maccas at Langkawi are both good. We did everything but the parasailing and jet skiing. I would recommend you look up what is there and just tick it all off. Best holiday. "

"Saw the high rating and decided to change my hotel at the eleventh hour. Location was perfect, but it is definitely only a 2* hotel. Pool was simply an enlarged bath tub. Stairs to room. Shower had extremely low water pressure, which was later adjusted. Breakfast starts at 7.30am but at 7.45am it was still closed. Receptionist said she had no idea what time it will open. I paid about US$80 after 30% discount. Not worth. It is just a mere motel. Rooms were spacious. The only pros about this motel is Aziman, the manager. He has been very helpful and thoughtful. He passed me a towel to use for my activities. I dare not take any towels out of the room because there is a message in the room that states the cost of cleaning the towel is RM80, face towel is RM50 etc. Frankly, for that price, I can buy a few new towels. Besides, upon check in, the duvet covers were not even washed after the previous guests checked out. Hygiene is definitely missing. And the flushing system stinks. Not sure if it applies to all hotels in the area because there is a bad sewage odour even at the toilets in the malls. "

"Nice hotel on a walking distance to Patai Cenang and Patai Tenang. Patai Tenang beach is 5 mniutes walk and it is a better and quiter beach than Patai Cenang. People at the hotel are very kind and breakfast is very good."

"5 star place! Price, location, condition and what you get is amazing! Only one thing would be great if they upgrade tv in the room. Ppl now like to have smart tv with Netflix and YouTube. "

"The staff were great and the room was older but clean. The pool was fantastic. There are a couple concerns. The WIFI only works if you are sitting outside of the office. It does not reach the rooms. Also the rooms do not have safes and there are no safety deposit boxes in the office. Meant having to keep valuable on your person all the time. "

"The quality of the hotel and room matches its 3-star rating. Location is also great, close to shops, restaurants and beach. However, my room is cockroach infested. I see little cockroaches in the bathroom, on the table, pretty much everywhere. This is unacceptable. Also, despite advertising that on-site parking is included, the spaces are actually quite limited and first come first served. If you are unable to find a parking spot designated to the hotel, you will have to pay the city via app for the parking fees."
