"The hotel is conveniently located next to Grand Batam Mall. The room is very clean and some complimentary soft drinks and snacks are available in the room. Front Office staff, F & B staff, Conceirge and Housekeeping & Maintenance staff were all very helpful, friendly and competent. Suggest that should be live band performing in the lobby lounge in the evenings."

"This is not your typical sterile resort hotel, the same the world over, perfectly serviceable, but with no soul. Banyan Tree Bintan charmed us into loving the place. Yes, the drains may have been a little smelly at times, the doors didn't fit properly and our villa could have done with a refresh, but the privacy, the attention of the staff and the food were all exceptional. It felt like we were properly in Indonesia even though we were less than an hour ferry ride from Singapore. Our villa had an amazing view and was kept spotlessly clean. Housekeeping, delighted in leaving us towel sculptures and decorating our rooms with flowers. The infinity pools were stunningly beautiful and quiet. The massage at the spa was one of the best I've ever had. Staff were delightful, engaging, nothing was too much trouble and issues were dealt with swiftly. They clearly take pride in doing their best. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed - exactly what was needed."

"Room was spacious and clean. Spa was great and professional. Food was good. We tried the Japanese restaurant, the beach club and the breakfast buffet. The Indonesian restaurant was unfortunately closed. Would prefer if they avoided plastic cutlery while in-room dining."

"Nirup was a fantastic getaway for our family of four - 2 kids aged 9 and 13. We enjoyed the private pool and the activities planned. The kids especially liked the gym. I went for a massage at the spa too. Overall a great experience. The only mode of getting around is using the buggy, which can have a hit of waiting time, so plan your daily schedules early. Otherwise, was fine for us to walk around the small island. Encouraged to purchase meal plan! There are no other restaurants to go to anyways."

"Enjoy our stay here. The staff’s hospitality is top notch. Keeping in touch with you on all your needs, they can arrange. You don’t really need to leave the hotel area as you can enjoy most of your time in it. The spa is really good! Hands down one of our fav."

"Beautiful and quiet property. Staff was super friendly. Pools were gorgeous, as was the beach. Very clean all around. Breakfast was expansive and staff were very generous with their service. All around, wonderful, quiet spot to rest and enjoy."
