"Very nice hotel and conference center. Clean, comfortable room. Nice bar, restaurant, and lounge, plus fitness center and sauna. Cheaper cafeteria down the hall as well. The Riverside museum is outstanding, only a few minutes away, next to SECC and Hydro. A bit of a drive to Glasgow, though."

"The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and exceeded my expectations. We also ate in the hotel and the food was first class. Will definitely go back. It is so close to Glasgow airport too."

"For me this was a prefect location to get around the island and particularly so if you're a malt whisky fan. Reception and restaurant/ bar staff can't do enough to help and will point you in the right direction as regards transport requirements. It's my 2nd time on Islay and I will return again, I'm sure. The restaurant prices on Islay are fairly pricey but a lot has to be imported into the island so it's to be expected."

"Fantastic stay, the hotel has been having work done to it but that made no difference at all to my stay. Cleaning staff deserve credit for the amazing job they are doing it is NOT easy at all! Very very friendly. Management were very attentive and had a good chat and a laugh which I find very important. Breakfast was absolutely amazing would have liked fruit and yoghurt option with few pastries but what you get for breakfast is absolutely amazing & value for money. Parking is easy enough, also plenty of shops in the town. Only downside for myself and partner is there are loads of stairs, we are both asthmatic, COPD and my partner has had stents in recently an suffers arthritis & angina, I know probably can't put lifts in as it's an old building but maybe offer second floor for people with medical issues? Over all dispite that it was absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend staying there"

"Very happy with everything. Was skeptical about eating at the restaurant due to some reviews online but cannot fault food or staff. Room (64) was perfect with balcony and view over the loch. Nice touch with complimentary small dessert at the end of meal with happy birthday writing on plate. Will definitely be back."
