"We celebrated our honeymoon and the staff did a great job with the romantic package, we loved the room and set up. Everything was easy to understand "
"Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this guesthouse has ample parking and a very nice cafe with a full lunch and dinner menu, bar and fresh made bakery items as well. The shower/sink /toilet areas were clean, bedding was very comfortable. The building, public lounges and rooms all felt safe. There are plenty of lockers to lock up extra belongings and a few outdoor spaces to enjoy some fresh air and conversation. "
"modern, executive-level accommodations, with excellent service, beautiful views, and amazing breakfast delivered to our room. Great location, walkable, easy parking right in front of the building. "

Alda Hotel Reykjavik
10/10 Excellent
"Loved this hotel. Great location, nice amenities and really nice staff. We highly recommend! "
"I loved the access to attractions in the city. 30 minute walk tops! Would stay here again. They don’t clean your room while you stay unless you pay a fee. I wasn’t aware of that. It would be advantageous for Stay to provide a broom and dustpan for guests who do not want to pay the extra fee. Our floor was dirty and I was cleaning the best I could. "
"This is a quiet hotel and we found it great value. We had a room with a view of the harbor and mountains beyond.
Hot complimentary coffee and tea were always available. We ate breakfast there several mornings- the buffet is lovely. It is an additional cost, but all of the food tasted homemade with a wide variety for a range of tastes. We did have dinner there a couple of times after a long day touring, and enjoyed Gull beer, a local draft quite a bit. The food was simple but tasty. There were a couple local restaurants nearby, but we didn't check them out, preferring to relax in the hotel after our long days touring.
Although this is a few blocks away from the city center (tourist area), we met our tour busses at a bus stop nearby or they met us at the hotel itself. We easily walked over to the city center each day.
Our room was on the small side, but comfortable for two. The staff are friendly, and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely recommend. "
