"The property was undeniably beautiful and spacious, but the pre-arrival process was a disaster. I booked a Global Luxury Suites hotel via hotels.com, only to find it was actually the Skymark building, owned by Churchill. Attempts to resolve this with hotels.com failed; they couldn't contact the company. A search for "Global Luxury Suites, Reston VA" revealed it didn't exist. I received a suspicious email demanding photos of my credit card, which I refused to provide.
Desperate for clarity, I called the headquarters, only to be rerouted to a Medicare hotline and various dead ends. Eventually, I discovered this wasn't Global Luxury Suites, but Skymark.
The billing department insisted on the credit card photos for a "3D secure" form, threatening to withhold check-in instructions. This form offered no security assurance, and my card had already been charged in full!
