"Walking in we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. She certainly set the tone for our stay. Everything was well maintained, and freshly cleaned, looked and smelled great. When we got to our room, we were very pleased. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillow options. This is huge for me because I forgot mkne at home and often need to sleep without in a hotel. But the selection provided the perfect squishyness- I'm grateful and slept well. A most welcome surprise was finding plenty of large, absorbent towels. Yay! So often we visit hotels and find 2 paper-thin towels for our stay. Not here! Fresh towels daily - THANK YOU! Plenty of them and wonderful fluffiness. Breakfast was well prepared and plentiful. She kept the area well stocked and sparkling clean. We were very happy with our stay and fully intend to stay again for our next vist. We truly appreciate all of the hardworking, friendly staff. They make all of the difference. "

"The most awful experience, upon check in and entering our room it was pretty immediately noticed the a/c and heater in room was not working. I let the front desk know that the a/c was not working and she stated she had another room we could move to but it needed to be cleaned. Also told her very noisy guests next to room, she said yeah they are kind of loud. I told her we were going to a Concert would be back late that evening. We were given keys to the new room and upon opening the door to the new room it reeked of smoke. As someone with asthma and allergies this is a no go for me. Hauled all our stuff back to the front desk and employee stated there were no other rooms available. They also added when I tell them that the room smelled of smoke heavily, that ‘yeah the guy that stayed in it before smoked in it!!’ Like why would you move someone to the room if you already knew that?! Most people would not be ok with this. Normally at this point I probably would have demanded a refund and found a different hotel but almost all were at capacity in the Louisville area due to multiple events going on that night/weekend . So we went back to the initial room, no a/c, baby in the room next to ours proceeded to cry for an entire hour 2am-3am. Also noticed while laying there that there was no fire alarm in the room and wires dangling from ceiling. I spoke to someone upon check out the next morning and the manager of the hotel was supposed to call but of course never did."

"The only thing positive was the very polite and helpful staff. The hotel is currently under renovation and has a distinct chemical smell to it. There was mold in the bathroom and the carpet felt damp. The pool was murky and something that looked like vomit was on the floor next to the seating area. No towels in sight. I could go on but will just sum it up by saying it was disgusting. Also be prepared to give a $100 cash deposit and be told if you lose the receipt you forfeit the deposit?? I stayed here in the past before the property was sold and it was a pleasant stay, clean, warm and inviting atmosphere with cookies and a library in the lobby for the kids. The new management destroyed what was once a fond memory for the kids. Do not stay here!! "
