Our stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Monterey Bay, Monterey Park, California, was nothing short of excellent. From check-in to check-out, the service was seamless. The staff were friendly, efficient, and always willing to help with any needs or questions we had during our visit.
The location was perfect—close to all of our adventures, including Universal Studios, a Dodgers vs. Blue Jays game, Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood, and the Griffith Observatory. It made getting around incredibly convenient.
The amenities were top-notch. We loved the 5-5-5-5 restaurant—delicious food and a welcoming staff. The bistro downstairs, which doubles as a Starbucks, was a great bonus. We were pleasantly surprised to receive $30 in breakfast coupons for each day of our 5-night stay, which was an amazing touch.
Our kids had a blast at the pool and enjoyed the gym area. The lobby was truly stunning—spacious, inviting, and relaxing. It became one of our favorite spots to unwind after a busy day.
Overall, I can confidently give this hotel a 5-star rating for its relaxing ambiance, excellent amenities, perfect location, and exceptional service. We will definitely be back!"
"Good location, big rooms, huge private bathrooms, cable/adult channel, and pretty relaxing. But...the beds are noisy. So if you do the do with your significant other...get a room on the 1st floor. Or else everyone is gonna hear your business."
"When we arrived, we were bone tired and in need of peace and quiet for sleep. The hotel allowed an early check in and we got right in our room.
The hotel is spotless, as is the room! No loud or unusual noises or interruptions.
The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The whole experience was memorable and without complaint.
We didn’t try the food offerings, but did look over the menu which looked varied and reasonably priced.
Parking is connected to the hotel and very easy to load/ unload.
The staff friendly and professional.
Overall a great experience and heads and shoulders above the places we stayed on the way to California from Wisconsin.
