"I checked into the room and it appeared to be clean. Clean sheets and towels, the floors appeared clean. I immediately saw a roach. Ok, one roach. But then another, and another and another and on and on. I was in the room for less than ten minutes. I went back to the front desk and quietly explained that I was checking out because of the infestation. The desk attendant apologized and offered another room. I politely declined. There was no offer for refund. I left. There is no excuse for this. They could spray and disinfect the building like everyone has to in Florida. It’s a state full of cockroaches and you need to manage it. This tells me they cut corners on the most basic necessities. Poor uneducated management. ."

"We travel to this area once a month and have stayed at various hotels in Ft. Myers. Howard Johnson's has become our place to stay. Amanda at the front desk friendly and gets us checked in quickly. The room is clean and we're able to park in front of our door."

"Kind of a weird property. The check-in process is conducted over a video terminal, which took 3 tries to create a working key. It was inexpensive, but an overall weird experience."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Ft Myers. We were very busy so didn't get a chance to use most of the amenities. The breakfast had a good variety. We would definitely stay there again."

"We had a girls softball tournament also staying while I was there. Saying they availed the themselves of all hotel amenities would be understatement. The pool area was loaded up & very crowded & gangs of adults, children & teens, had many coolers & created much garbage, & there no seats present at pool to very late in the night (open night had party) so we did not get to enjoy the pool or hot tub. They also had a 'schedule' to keep so the lobby was crowded & although 'good' kids & decent parents..... Traversing the main area & getting breakfast wasn't as polite or orderly as it could have been. The hotel employees kept up tho & still managed to be personable to meeting individual needs. These kids weren't rude or bad at all, it was just a bit overwhelming for those staying that were not involved. "

"I found pubic hair all over the bathroom on arrival. Shower had only been rinsed out, still had soap and hair in and on the shower walls and floor. The rest of the room was surface clean."
