"The hotel is lovely and I would recommend staying there, breakfast had everything you need. However we were shocked to find that the swimming pool and golf had additional costs and when going down for food Sunday evening the only thing available was Sunday lunch. These things should be made clear. "
"Lovely barn. Everything you needed in it for a great stay. The hot tub wasn't working when we arrived and they sent someone that morning to fix it. Will be booking again as not only did we have a great time but so did our dog."

Furnitures on balcony could be more comfortable and not metal. Also it was really dirty. Mold on pipes glass panes and balcony stained with bird poo and dk what else.."
"The breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked, and with a varied menu. The property was clean and well kept, but a little dated. First flight of stairs is accessed by a chairlift, rather than a lift. There are then stairs to negotiate on the first floor, to get to the room. "

The room was beautiful, clean and well supplied with coffee tea etc. We used to stay at the Penventon regularly 20 years ago and the standard has not slipped one bit. The reason for our visit was to meet with a lost member of family and she lived local to the Penventon Hotel so it worked out perfectly for us."

"Stayed here for 4 days. The property is about to be renovated and is very dated. But you get what you pay for. Great location, great views of the sea and beach. Difficult to get into the bathroom due to narrow opening between entrance and the shoer. But the shower is excellent. Well worth it for the money we paid. But renovation is literally about to start as of March 2026."
