"comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, good food"

"Room was fine , staff were nice"

"A reasonable hotel with a good restaurant. Very good food available in the dining room, staff helpful and pleasant. A lack of heating and hot water marred our stay (in November) but otherwise good"

"I didn't feel that the breakfast justified the £13 price, so I probably wouldn't choose that again. The restaurant prices were about what I'd expect for a decent pub meal, and the pie was absolutely delicious – easily the highlight of the food for me. One downside was that the bar and seating area, which was the only comfortable place to sit and do some work on my laptop, closed at 9:30 pm. After that, there was nowhere suitable to work or socialise other than outside, the reception area, or...

"Third time staying here. Excellent facilities, friendly staff and great food."

"Great bedroom, very clean. Good friendly bar Excellent full English breakfast"

"Good hotel service and staff Bit out of town so need to get a cab / uber but free parking is a bonus"

"Good clean room, good food, ideal for an overnight stay"

"Very well run and friendly"

"Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds."

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay staff were amazing and the foot was really nice great value for money"

"Great location"

"We stayed in an outside room which was nice but the walls were very thin so we could hear guests next door talking. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful."

"very nice hotel"

"Nice rooms with fridge, tea/coffee and bottled water provided. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast for the price. Solid mid-range option for the area."

"Top hotel we have been to 5 start service on a daily basis. The spa was great and all the staff were helpful for all our needs. Would highly recommend and will be returning very soon"

"This property is absolutely unique, a 15th century building restored and updated in a charming way. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is luxurious! Thank you for the loveliest stay of our holiday."

"The room was nice and cozy, it had the best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! The tea and coffee were very much appreciated as well. The staff were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you, I will definitely stay again if I visit Thetford."

"Cozy hotel in a beautiful little area serving delicious food."
