"We had the most amazing stay at the Belsfield - the construction work does not take from the experience at all. The views are still incredible, and the gardens and terrace are still exceptionally well looked after.
Although there are parts of the building that look a bit tired, the cleanliness and facilities are lovely. Breakfast was very average, which was disappointing, but there is everything you would need on the buffet. Compared to other B&B's in the area, it doesn't measure up, but they did bring a fresh coffee machine out on our final day.
The real highlight and outstanding feature of the hotel are the staff. They are truly so helpful and friendly and genuinely show warmth and care. A special mention to Charlie at Reception for simply going above and beyond (even sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and Joy at breakfast, who was simply a joy.
We'll definitely stay again, and look forward to coming again once the refurbishments have completed too."
