Golden Haven Hot Springs

"When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained the different amenities, and how the soaking tub in our room worked and the usual check in/out process. We stayed in one of the soaking rooms and it was wonderful. We were provided with towels and salts to use specifically for the soaking tub. The tub was conveniently located in the main room with a view of the large screen TV which also could be pulled out from the wall and angled towards the tub and bed. We were a little confused about how the tv worked since it seemed that other guests were signed in to the streaming platforms, but that was likely user error. Perhaps a little note about logging in to streaming services next to the TV might be useful for others in the future. We were also able to access live channels. The room was clean, and had a microwave and mini fridge for our leftovers after eating out or for small grocery items from CalMart. The location is great and a short walk to downtown Calistoga. We were provided with robes at check in which were useful for the hot tubs and pools. There are two mineral water hot tubs of different temperatures and one large mineral pool for swimming. There are showers and changing rooms available in the pool area as well. They provided bicycles and helmets that we could take to ride during the desk hours. We would definitely stay here again."

"I like everything about this hotels, the one thing I didn’t like it’s music 12hours in a swimming pool arias that’s on and on all day , you just can’t relax , I have to go to other pool , that’s is farther, I hope they do something about it when I comeback next time"

"Great for solo stay (as well as couples, families). Walkable to many shops and restaurants. Nice to have a bar/restaurant right on site (you can order drinks at the pool). The staff is super nice. EV charging stations are available though the rate is fairly high. Hydration stations are spread through out the property. Full spa on site."

"Beautiful property and stay! The restaurants all have amazing food. And I did all three! The staff I encountered were all so very helpful and kind. I docked one star due to the spa which I thought did not hold up to what I would expect from a Four Seasons. The facilities were a bit drab, small and little amenities for use after your treatment. My massage was not done very well. So if you’re looking for a luxurious spa experience, I don’t think you’ll find it at the spa here."

"Swimming in the river was the best part of the trip. Bring your water shoes; there are rocks and I almost lost my sandals three times . Bring an extra fan for the tent. If you are in a tent; bring a portable umbrella for the outside. Our bench was not covered by the trees most of the day and the sun was strong. It is hot in the tent during the summer; that’s when you go swimming or hiking during the day. We recommend going to riverfront park trail; it’s an easy hike 20 mins drive from wildheaven. And it is beautiful there. Oh bring a hoodie for the night time; it gets cold at night. Hot days and cold nights in the summer."
