You see José’s dedication to keeping the place clean and tidy and you can see him walking around feeding the animals and treating the vines. They have a nice bar with a few options including their own award-winning wine, which we very much enjoyed. Personally it was also nice to stay in a black owned business that looks and feels amazing! "beautiful property 15 minute walk from pinhao. Wonderful restaurants on site. If you need a taxi seems to be difficult to get and we had to walk there. Staff booked taxi for the next day to get back to pinhao but were reluctant to do so - suggested we call them!! "
"I stayed at Quinta de São Luís (Vine House) and I have to say, this was hands down the highlight of my entire trip to Portugal. I’ve traveled quite a bit, but I had never seen anything this beautiful.
From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. My room was stunning — incredibly spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the most breathtaking views. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary little bottles of wine in the room.
The service was exceptional. Ana, in particular, went above and beyond to make my stay special. She personally recommended a nearby vineyard where I had an unforgettable lunch — the food was absolutely delicious. I also had the chance to do a wine tasting tour, which was such a fun and memorable experience. The wines were fantastic!
This place truly feels like a 5-star experience in every way. If I could give it more than five stars, I absolutely would. My only regret is that I stayed just one night — I wish I had planned to stay longer during my nine days in Portugal.
