"The property did not look like the pictures on Expedia website which seem photoshopped, the sign has fell of the front of the hotel and the hotel room had stains on the walls and roof. The hotel is also part farm and the animals look sick. Maybe this was a nice hotel in the past but now it’s just not fit for purpose."

"We had a magical time staying at Ban Rai Tin Thai Ngarm Eco Lodge. This is a family run lodge surrounded by their beautiful garden and the mountains, a paradise away from the city. The hosts are the most hospitable people I have ever met, they made us feel welcome immediately. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts give advice and maps of the area to explore. My only regret is not staying longer, I never wanted to leave. If you are thinking about booking here, do it, you will not regret it!"

It is located on top of a very steep hill and no mobile taxi service will come here. The hotel can call you a car but it will be very expensive and take at least an hour to arrive. "This hotel experience is not reflective of the price and we checked out several days early as had quite simply had enough. It has the potential to be really good but it needs a lot of investment: main issues were: the shower in bathroom not fit for purpose, a cold trickle that did not improve throughout stay, pool looked cold and unclean - no guests used this throughout our time there. Breakfast was similarly cold and badly cooked/poor ingredients. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere (this is just an observation as not something that can be rectified) but this meant every trip out and back led to arguments with taxi drivers who wanted double the app set price as they didn’t think it worth their time otherwise. Everything is very dated. The atmosphere of the hotel was depressing, I saw just several other people sitting in silence eating their breakfasts, looking into the distance and I think, wondering like me, when their pain and suffering would be over.
The hotel is not reflective of the pictures or the other reviews in my opinion so I would tread carefully when booking, "
