The B&B is a good value for the location. Room 1 was large, clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the breakfast that had a nice variety of fruit and cereal in addition to the eggs/crepes that were cooked to order. Parking is a challenge, and were very lucky that a public spot was available at SPAQ Maison with entry on Rue Haldimand where we were able to leave the car for 3 days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the B&B de la Fontaine.

Beautiful heritage home with old world charm and walking distance to local shops. Our roof rack didn’t fit in the suggested parking so we parked on the street close by. We couldn’t stay for breakfast but it looked delicious and was a wonderful offering. Would stay again :)

Great location and adequate accommodations. However, rooms were small (ours had room for 1 straight back chair), internet was spotty, very steep narrow staircases, and there was no common area other than the basement breakfast room. On day of arrival, we received texted instructions for building entry, room assignment and location of keys. The basement room had a note indicating no breakfast the next day due to staff illness; as a result, we saw no other people until the 2nd morning there. No offer of new towels during a 4 night visit.

The place was clean and convenient. It was a converted home so be aware that the bathroom was very narrow and the shower was tiny. Breakfast was very good and the bed was comfortable.

Well located in Old Quebec. Breakfast was cereal, fruits, toast, juice, coffee/tea and usually a cooked egg or plain crepes. Internet bandwidth wasn’t able to support streaming for 2 of our 5 nights. Water was turned off temporarily for unknown reasons for 2 of the nights for a short period of time. Host came to check if water was ok, but it had come back on by that time.

Location, location, location! Literally a 3 min walk to Chateau Frontenac! After we parked the car in the City Hall lot, we did not need to move the car until checkout because we could easily walk everywhere! It was a hot week when we were there, but the portable A/C in the room kept us cool. Yes, the room is compact but it had everything we needed: a clean washroom, a small bar fridge, a closet and dresser. Shoutout to Jeremy who made the most perfect eggs for us in the morning. ❤️ I will definitely return.

This is a unique property in a very convenient location. We really enjoyed our experience as we appreciate non traditional venues. The proprietor was very nice and even allowed us to access our room earlier than check in since it was available. The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow, so a traveler with physical limitations would need to stay on the first floor.

We stayed for one night. The location is convenient, with good parking and everything within walking distance. The surrounding streets are narrow, so drivers unfamiliar with tight Italian alleyways should be prepared. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The mattress was very hard. I prefer a softer bed and did not sleep well. A good-quality mattress topper would be a modest investment that could greatly improve comfort. The included breakfast was disappointing. It turned out to be a €5 allowance per person at a nearby restaurant. We were offered homemade pie and coffee, then asked for juice and water. The bill for two came to €19.50, leaving us €9.50 to pay. Juice alone cost €3.50 per person, and the pie offered also exceeded the allowance. If breakfast is advertised as included, we would expect the allowance to cover a reasonable basic breakfast, such as a croissant or slice of pie, coffee or cappuccino, and juice. At minimum, the allowance and any extra charges should be clearly explained before ordering. Unexpected charges for such basic items left us feeling nickel-and-dimed. We otherwise enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality. A more comfortable bed and a clearer, more generous breakfast arrangement would make a significant difference.
