The Marine Hotel
8/10 Good
"This hotel has very extensive building work and has scaffolding outside the building .
The pool changed room where closed and it would have been nice to have a robes.
We had a room in the roof . Room was quite cold but very clean .

"The room was very clean, staff was friendly and off road parking great. But the place could really do with an update, very tired and uninspiring with a good cooked breakfast but being let down by cheap ingredients. Best bit is coffee out of lavazza coffee machine. "
"Room not the best we've stayed in, no shelf in bathroom for our toiletries, towel rail fell off, wardrobe door wouldn't close. Decor throughout needs updating ( in all fairness the hotel has just been taken over) and renovations are on going. Breakfast fairly hot ( buffet style) didn't have a dinner so can't comment."
"Lovely room (206) on the ground floor with sliding patio door to access the peaceful courtyard (water, fountains, small trees) and chairs to sit on your own small ‘patio’. Spacious room, great en suite. Food excellent (Catch of the Day fish and chips - hake in our case - better than Rick Stein’s Takeaway version in Padstow) Hotel in a lovely setting. Great sunsets. Spa, pool and changing room (Ladies’ - didn’t see Men’s side) spotlessly clean. Friendly, cheerful staff happy to help and can’t do enough for you. "
"Really enjoyed my stay , very big comfortable room the house is close to all amenities. Excellent breakfast and a friendly helpful host would highly recommend "
"Double room with nice views of the sea and Little Orme. We’ve stayed here a few times, and recommend booking a sea or Orme view at the front. Bathroom was small, and with a shower over the bath. Would prefer walk in shower as my 81 year old hubby has recently had an artificial knee. Nice selection of shampoos, conditioners etc. Breakfast and dinner were very nice, with the usual menu of a J W Lees pub/hotel. Plenty of parking…just make sure you fill in your registration details at reception. The staff at reception, bar, and restaurant were all extremely friendly and helpful. "
"Good points: the flat is massive and has lots of space as well as ample on road parking. The area is quiet and safe. It's mostly clean and tidy although could do with a clean behind beds etc. The bad points - the main bedroom curtains are paper thin so light comes in early. The noise insulation between upstairs and the flat isn't great. The bath plughole needs replacing as it's impossible to remove without using a knife to slide it out. The TV is on its way out as watching anything remotely dark is likely watching through goggles. Frustratingly all these things could be fixed very cheaply. I loved the area but not sure we would return to Treetops."
"Lovely clean premises throughout. Friendly, helpful, caring staff. Excellent breakfast options. Can highly recommend the scrambled egg with salmon 😋 easy to find and access. And the most important bit, a really comfortable bed and well stocked refreshments in the room. Would most definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality"
