The whole place is beautiful ! They are partnered with Wisma Bojana restaurant and we had one of the best meals of our stay in Bali. "The view was something I couldn’t get over, even on the last day I sat in bed and watched the view in awe. OMG was every second word out of our mouths, the view was the most insanely beautiful I have ever seen. The staff were accommodating & made sure every request was attended to without fuss or hassle. There are a small number of villas (only 8) so every cent made a difference. The shower is open & outside in the Santai villa with working rice fields in view so you need to be ok getting naked in nature with people in the distance working. We had clear skies every day so I’m not sure what it would be like if there was rain / thunderstorms. Be prepared, there is no aircon so if you need a cold room to sleep this may not be for you. In saying that, weather is so much cooler in the mountains so it’s easily manageable depending on time of year. It is isolated in contrast to Canggu etc so ensure you have snacks and drinks to enjoy the view, especially at sunset. You can order most things you need though and prices are reasonable, especially considering the isolation & incredible view, they also bring it to your villa quickly. In saying that, ensure you have WhatsApp (like everywhere in Bali) and an eSIM or phone reception so you can communicate with Camaya staff. Bonfire, laying on pillows in the net for sunset / sunrise & bespoke dining a must. Breakfast incl and recommend having in room & also restaurant if you have time for both."

"Surrounded by Nature with unbelievable views and right next to the Besakih temple. The property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained and the staff is super friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Puri Karang if you visit the Besakih temple or if you are just looking to get away for a few days."

"This is a tough one because the arrival was a total disaster but the rest of the stay was very nice. I'll explain, sorry it's a bit long. The bad bit first: we messaged the hotel several times in the lead up to our stay, to explain we'd be arriving late (after 1am) but they either didn't tell the night porters or the porters forgot as everything was closed up and we couldn't get into our room. With two children under 10 it was a nightmare. After 20mins looking for someone, anyone, our driver (thank goodness for him 🙏) found the porters and we got into our room, but the beds for the children that we'd requested and paid for weren't set up. The porters suggested they share the water-stained sofa with no bedding (funnily enough we rejected that idea!) and eventually, at 2am, we could go to bed. The good bit: the staff are very nice and friendly, the food is really good (pizza average, but steak,b tuna tartare, pad Thai and other local/Asian options all excellent). The pool lives up to the photos, the spa is great and the grounds are extremely well kept. It's a stunning get-away, just needs someone managing the email and Expedia account properly."
