Room was basic and clean, with fresh water and coffee in the room daily. Grounds kept well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only selected the breakfast option. A variety of selections available and appreciated having the order station for omelets and quesadillas. Would stay here again.
What I like about Posada Real is the staff is wonderful always willing to help you. The hotel is clean and it’s quiet so you can relax. It’s also a ten minute walk from different kinds of restaurant and stores.
It was a very nice property. Nice beach. Very nice staff. The upper cliffside pool was closed for maintenace. However, they were working on updating the appearance, which it needed.
We enjoyed the view and both pools. Customer service was great.

Great option for a family stay
While it’s clear that the hotel’s best years have passed (visible notably in the rooms), it still was a great choice for our family of three. Our small daughter enjoyed the multiple swimming pools and we really liked the beach club. The hotel staff were always friendly and welcoming. The food at the buffet restaurants was actually decent and always included vegetarian and sometimes even vegan options.
After spending 10 minutes debating with the front desk staff who insisted on giving us a queen, even though we booked a King suite with an ocean view, we finally got the room we booked and paid for. Considering that the full price for this room is $500 Canadian per night, it is absolutely not worth anywhere near that. The restaurant on site is buffet only and average quality with subpar food options, and a very high price point if you don’t book the all-inclusive. Beer is 100 pesos per plastic cup. The rooms are very dated and not the quality you would expect. Our toilet didn’t even flush properly. There is ample parking at the site which was a benefit to us and of course the ocean view is beautiful. We would not consider staying here again when we’re in town.
Nice property and location. Friendly staff. We had requested an early check in, noon instead of 3pm. I was surprised that they wanted to charge 500 pesos ($25 US) for this convenience. This is unacceptable.

Beautiful Sunset view but more amenities needed.
The wife doesn't work in all rooms. And no washer and dryer for the guests to use.
Service is litle slow but other than that is a decent place to stay at and enjoy a beautiful Sunset.
The place was beautiful. Awesome pools and lounging areas. Great views. Awesome room but didnt use it except for sleep. Had wifi in all areas except for rooms. Saw many people in the restaurant at night on their laptops because no wifi in rooms. When we asked about it, guy at front desk said he didnt have it either. But I was connected there. Talked to others who were there and they were frustrated because of no wifi in room. Otherwise we had a good time at beach club.

We had a nice stay here, but it was not as advertised. There are supposed to be multiple dining options and 3 bars and there is only one bar which is actually a service door for staff as well. The big pool closes at 6pm and the small pool at 7:30, which was a bummer when traveling with a kid. M The property and amenities are much more run down, especially the bathrooms in the rooms. Housekeeping was fantastic and the front desk was nice. Sadly, the food was not good at either restaurant.

I have to clarify the cleaning staff do their job, the room was clean but there was a horrible drain smell coming from the shower and bathroom floor that made it unbearable to be in the room. The property is old and outdated, I don’t recommend it.

This Property had good pools and my kids really enjoyed the Cocos beach club pools. This was the positive experience at this resort.
We got offered an early check in for an additional 500 pesos, which i paid however the unit we received was dirty and full of Mold. After letting the front desk staff know they told us they would have maintenance clean the air conditioner. They cleaned the mini split however the ceiling and all curtains, windows and bathroom was still excessively stained with mold. We had to spend a night in that unit, i had rented a total of three units, the following morning i asked to speak with the resort manager, who was not and would not be available. The front desk agent ended up changing my unit to a higher floor that was a no visible mold on the room only in the bathroom. Since i had two additional units i had to put up with it. I didnt feel there was any sense of responsibility from the front desk staff especially because i “i had booked though Expedia” the hotel gave priority to the guests who had booked with them directly instead of a booking agency. The Hotel also had zero Wi-Fi in the rooms even-though there was access points in each room. The Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby area however the connection kept getting dropped. The only reliable WiFi was at the beach club coco’s. Im doubtful i will book another vacation though Expedia because the hotel also charged me an extra person.
