We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Flor de Maria. The rooms were cozy and clean. The pool and terrace provided a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful views, relax and cool off. We met friendly, interesting people, and the staff were very helpful and sweet. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Really great find in puerto escondido, at the opposite end to La Punta so much quieter (which worked for us!). For the price this is really exceptional - great size rooms, beautiful colours, delicious food, plus cute cats living here if you like! But the cherry on top is the roof terrace with a pool and hammocks, gorgeous for watching sunset, eating lunch and great iced coffees. My only suggestion would be for the sun beds to be reserved for hotel guests until after lunchtime - and maybe to add a few more. Otherwise perfect!

The room we were in was in poor condition. Windows would not close, shabby unwelcoming depressing room needs upgrading. Beds were very comfortable and appreciated. Room Towels were old and ripped on the edges. Definitely need new towels. Definitely downgraded sine I last stayed there 7 years ago Deck top pool was lovely. Disappointed in the ambience of what I had remembered. Office staff welcoming and kind.

This is like a diamond in the rough. Very hard to rate. We absolutely loved our stay at this property. It is old but super clean and eclectic. My first impression of the room was not good. It was very simple and old fashion. However the bed was quite comfortable and adequate. The pool area on the roof was fantastic. Hammocks were wonderful with the sea breeze. There is a full bar with great staff and food service. We found both sun and shade up on the roof. the reality is we only slept in the room and kept ourselves busy between the beach and the roof deck. The location was quiet and well air conditioned. The location is close to everything.

This property was exactly what I was looking for such as decent, affordable, and accessible to the beach. I booked a room with 2 beds. Everyday the room was cleaned and ready to go. I also want to point out if the owner sees this review that their employee female named Yessi is such an amazing person! She’s so amable, sweet, and very responsive. She is the reason why I would go back and book my stay here. She needs to move up in position because she is the face of this hotel. The beds do need better pillows. We also encounter a problem with our breakfast and the team room are of it right away and made sure we were satisfied. Overall, this hotel is 2 min from marinero beach, and it has a beautiful decor. I would definitely come back here in the future. Thank you Yessi and Toño.

Remembering the price you’re paying for a room- the hotel hits all good marks. The staff, particularly young female at front desk, very friendly. The rooftop pool is warm and has great views of ocean - very cool to have this- has a bar with small snack menu. The location of hotel has positive- short walk to beach, and short walks to restaurants on the beach. And negative- area needs some cleanup done. Hotel rooms are very basic($-remember price). No TV, no phones,no AC. Shower was definitely hot but shower head was poor. Room 24- be aware- you can see into the shower from hallway- wasn’t happy about that( and room 25)- that needs attention asap !! Could use more detail cleaning of common areas and fixing items in rooms like drawers and closet doors. All in all - happy with hotel and proximity to beach- which is main reason for choosing. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again- bargain for money

Great Summer!

Hotel has an amazing views , specially in the afternoon , close to the beach , easy walk . It has very good services ( great snack and drinks) , friendly people , but They need to fix a problem in the bathroom.

Tuve una buena experiencia porque llevaba coche, hay que tomar en cuenta que aunque la salida a la playa está cerca la playa que queda más cercana no es muy turística. Fuera de eso la verdad es que el hotel es bastante bueno y no dudaría en quedarme nuevamente aquí, el personal super atento, las habitaciones decentes, la pileta y terraza están muy bien para pasar una noche tranqui con los amix, solo que cierra a las 9pm, ojo con eso.
