"Was a place to sleep, would’ve been better if the pool was heated as we went in off season but still had activities and was a great place to move along the Amalfi coast from!"
"Great experience. Would definitely stay again!! The host was super helpful and sweet and helped with all questions we had. She also provided breakfast. Very safe area as well. The town is very quiet compared to others around. Just be prepared there is a lot of stairs everywhere to get to and from places. "
"The hotel is in a great location, and the staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful. You definitely get the family-run vibe. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. The private dock for the hotel also made life a lot easier. "
"Hotel was nice. Nothing special. Pool are was a bit small but lovely to have a cool off after walking up from the front (plenty steps)
Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The restaurant across the road is a must try! "
"Absolutely fantastic hotel with incredible views of the coast from our balcony. Clean, quiet, good breakfast with the same views as our room. I would recommend having some sort of transportation to get around from here. We rented a scooter and had a great time riding from Amalfi to Positano.....and everything in between."
"Absolutely lovely place, the hotel has absolutely amazing views, the rooms incredibly clean and the amenities are top-notch but the best thing about the place is the how kind and helpful the staff are. They are constantly looking for ways to help and improve. Incredible hotel!"
"Pasquale was extremely accommodating to my needs and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and just lovely. I more than enjoyed my time at Open Gate! "
"The staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! Rosa at the front desk even helped us find parking and then moved our car immediately once a spot opened up in their lot. The views are unbelievable, the pool is fabulous, this has been one of my favorite stays by far! Best Honeymoon ever! "

You can learn about the history of Praiano with a trip to Church of San Gennaro. Discover the beautiful sunsets and mountain views in this romantic area.
Tucked between Positano and Amalfi, this quieter coastal gem offers dramatic cliffside views and the stunning Marina di Praia beach. Take the 'Path of the Gods' hiking trail in the morning for breathtaking panoramas, then enjoy fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants as the sun sets.
The bus stop to go to Amalfi was just down the street, but a little confusing as far as where to buy the tickets. Have to be super careful on the very narrow street, which has large traffic, including buses, motorcycles, cars, and trucks. Be careful.

Excellent
Paiano is a lovely little town away from the crowding of Amalfi. However the transport to the larger, more tourist focused towns is excellent. Lots of great dining options as well as local supermarkets.

We loved visiting Positano and Amalfi but it was very crowded. We enjoyed staying in the quiet, quaint town of Priana. It has the most gordeous beach cove!

Good
Praiano was a good location for touring the Amalfi coast. Some of the local restaurants will pick you up since they have limited parking and many travelers don't have cars. Not a lot to do in Ptaiano. There is nice walk along the coast line.

We love Praiano. It has changed a little since the last time we were here. It used to be a little quieter than it is now and less expensive but that said Le Fioriere is one of the places where you can still get that small town personal touch.

Great town to discover gems for eating, beautiful beach, and lovely views.
"This hotel was the best, the staff were super friendly, the rooms had great working aur conditioning even during 40 degrees Celsius heat wave, the shower pressure was great and the size of the shower was comfortable amd not those tiny showers. their rooftop terrace is large with amazing views of the sea. We have been in Italy for 1 month and my kids still talk about the amazing breakfast (italian style) and was the best cappuccino I had. The walk is long to the beach but thats to be expected in the geographic location. And they have parking which is great cause its impossible to find parking on the Amalfi coast. Definitely will go back to this hotel when i return to Amalfi"
"Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The hotel, room, the restaurant, the area & convenient location which includes a shuttle down to Amalfi.
The staff are wonderful!! A special shout out to Rosita! Thank you all for a wonderful and unforgettable stay.
DO NOT SKIP THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!"
"A lovely friendly welcome also with a free glass of Prosecco, comfortable beds and clean room. Excellent breakfast, perfect location, just up off the main strip. Lovely pool . I would highly recommend "
"We stayed at this beautiful hotel 2 years ago and couldn't wait to come back this year! The staff, the lobby, the rooms, the breakfast, the pool, the food, everything is perfect! The views from this hotel are magical! I can't wait to go back!!!!"
"We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room upon arrival, which made our stay even more special. The room was clean, modern, and offered stunning views (best in town).
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The hotel also provides a convenient complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento center every hour, which made exploring the area easy and stress-free.
Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!
