What a hidden gem! We feel so lucky to have stayed here, from the contactless check in to the lovely gardener! Everything was perfect, we stayed in the dashing wave and the room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, carefully thought out!

This is a very unusual place! It must have been a home at some point and has been changed to simply bedrooms. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. But there is no lobby, front desk, etc. You simply get a code to get into the building and into your room. It's a little strange but it was fun to try something different.

You got to stay

To tell you the truth I didn’t want to stay at an i have had bad experiences at a few inns in the past. But the Martin Inn has changed my mind from the gardens to the room the Martin inn is far above any inn I have stayed at in the past and it is not that far of a walk from downtown Portsmouth. The Martin inn has off street parking in the back as you walk to your room you go through a wonderfully kept garden which made my wife jealous. Which we spend a little while in on our last night there. I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to the Martin inn for a wonderful place to stay keep up the great work.
