Tŷ Milford Waterfront

Tŷ Milford Waterfront

10/10 Excellent
"I was looking for a few days far from the maddening crowd, in a part of the UK I hadn't explored yet, and that's exactly what I got. I stayed in one of the hotel's 4 floatel rooms, in the marina. It was a unique, peaceful, and quiet and extremely calming experience. Plus the hotel staff was brilliantly helpfull and the food at the hotel's restaurant delicious. Milford Haven is anything but touristic and in parts industrial, but it has its own charm and beauty, especially around its waterfront. True to its name (&Ty Hotel in particular) is welcoming and relaxing, while only a short drive away from some of the more famous (& crowded) places of the gorgeous Welsh coast (Tenby, St David's, quite a few of the most beautiful UK beaches, the Pembrokeshire National Park and some iconic bits of the coastal path). So you can visit and enjoy them and then return to your little piece of... Haven. It is unfortunate though (even if it is mostly out of sight and out of mind) the pieces of garbage floating in the back of the marina, around the entrances of the floatels, especially between the 2nd (where I stayed) and the 3rd. It would be great if it was picked up on a (more?) regular base. Apart from that though, I can't recommend Ty hotel and it's floatels experience enough."

"The tranquil setting and gorgeous building felt very special. We also enjoyed the gourmet breakfast that started the day . My only observation is that the Arts & Crafts building offers an opportunity to enhance that throughout rather than what is on the walls now, and feels like generic hotel decor that could be found anywhere. The priory is special, and that could be enhanced."
