"Wanted a 100€ deposit on arrival, although the room had already been paid in full, and on check out charged 45€ for a local tax that was not mentioned before."

"Hotel was clean and nice. Walkable to many things to see and do. The room was good but just like all other reviews its a little loud since the building is from the 1800's the walls are paper thin. The AC didn't turn on but luckily it was nice and cool outside so we just open the windows but it was loud outside so little sleep. The breakfast was just okay. Staff very nice and helpful."

"We booked here for a long weekend, attracted by the photos of the property, previous good reviews, and its location. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay, but not without its drawbacks. First, the good stuff. The property is quirky in a good way. We loved the decor and the overall vibe. Each staff member we interacted with was very friendly and attentive. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower was good. The breakfast had a good selection and plenty of seating. The location of the hotel is just far enough away from the main tourist bits that you feel a bit more connected to an authentic experience. Good restaurants nearby. Now, the not so good things. Our room was on the first floor and it let a lot of noise in from the lobby and bar area, sometimes going late into the night. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise. We never did manage to figure out how to use the temperature control in the room. Some instructions would be handy. With the breakfast, we tended to stick to the cold options because the hot food never seemed to be warm enough. The coffee could use some improvement as well. All in all, the positives outweigh the negatives. It's a nice enough place and we're happy with our stay, but I can't say for certain we'd stay again."

"My first trip to Rome and we truly “lucked out” with this hotel! Extremely quiet and clean!!! The staff were extremely nice and professional! The location was fabulous! I was wondering about the neighborhood after I booked and saw how close it was to the train station - but it was fine. My wife and I are in our 60’s and the area was cleaner and safer than Salt Lake City - serious!!!! Even walking around late at night, we felt very safe and comfortable. I heard nothing at night - so very quiet. And the room was serviced every day and always spotless when we returned!!! I hope to return to Rome some day in the future - and when we do, I’ll definitely stay at this same place. Cio "
