Hotels with Swimming Pool in Polzeath, Wadebridge

"Bare with me, this may start off poorly, but it gets better. Initially, when we arrived at the property, we felt disappointed. The outside of the property looks really run-down. Scaffolding, dirty white paint. Just tired and old. Like a neglected school. However, once inside things improve, massively. I found it warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything looks in a good statenof repair etc. The room we stayed in was large with a lovely bath and a sea view. Bed was overly firm, but everything else was lovely. No snacks in the room, there was cold milk and water in the fridge. The bar area is nice. Lots of seating, free pool table, good selection of drinks and an outside area. The spa was lovely (have to book between 10am and 6pm) with large hot tub, seating, sauna, steam room and a hammam (recommend). Decent size swimming pool also available. Good location for the coast path, Mawgan Porth is lovely, though not much in the way of shops. Continental breakfast was epically good. Lots of choice, amazing baked goods, made on site and good coffee. If you want a cooked breakfast as well, its £8. Didn't have myself, but looked amazing. Did eat in what i think is The Wild Café. Prices are not cheap, but i suppose thats pretty standard for a hotel restaurant. Burger and chips is £24, as is wild mushroom risotto. "It was a little disappointing that there were no tissues in the room or bathroom. On Friday night we sat in the restaurant but on Saturday night we were put in the Tea Room which we felt there was a lack of atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Staff in the restaurant/spa bar/spa were really helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool was great. Sadly we didn't get to use the outdoor pool as it rained but it did look very nice. View from our room was lovely too. We booked breakfast on one day but found it too much after dinner the previous night. We ate at taste of Cornwall one night. The food was very good but the room was very dark and the music stopped a couple of times and nobody around to turn it back on, so lacked a nice ambience."
