"First time in lanzarote and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel . The staff were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Food was plentiful and a good selection, the pool was fantastic and spotlessly clean and if you like the beach it's just a short walk from the hotel . "Room - Big room with good pool/sea view and large balcony (extra). The worst thing is the lack of double beds, and the pushed together singles with separate duvets - they slip apart if you move to the middle leaving a gap - not very romantic if you can't lie in your partner's arms on holiday! Daily housekeeping fine, although they forgot to replace the instant coffee and milk sachets a couple of times. Shower pressure a bit low (large rainfall overhead in small bath). Food - Good breakfast (fresh orange and coffee quite good), although they could serve poached eggs. Dinner was a bit samey every day but of reasonable quality. The fish offering was limited most days to small farmed sea bream fillets, which was a shame given the availability of fish and seafood on the island. One day (in a week), they served prawns and mussels as well, which was good. There was plenty nice salad and dessert. Staff - There weren't that many staff around, but all were very nice and helpful, very efficient and welcoming. Pool area - There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool is fine with occasional jacuzzi seats. There were a few kids but mostly pensioner aged guests. The "cave spa" costs an extra 20 euro for two hours - it's not a cave, it's plastic wall covering. Location - There's no beach - the closest is 10 mins up the coast in front of larger hotel. It's a 15min walk to the Rubicon Marina area."

"A lovely hotel with a great pool area, selection of restaurants and welcoming staff. Onsite spa is small but fabulous. We went bed and breakfast but an all inclusive option is available if you plan to stay put. The small port of Puerto Calero is a short walk along the shoreline - turn left out of the gate at the bottom of the hotel - with several bars and restaurants facing the marina."

"The whole process has been faultless, the Serena Villa staff have been very helpful and communication has been excellent. When we arrived at the villa it was dark, it was easy to find and the parking space directly outside the villa was great, and the villa numbers are illuminated. In entering the villa, the cool air conditioning was welcoming. The villa itself is amazingly clean and comfortable, with some hidden and unknown areas, like the third floor subtract with sunlounger and table with false lawn covered flooring, accessed by a spiral staircase from the main bedroom, along with a seated/small table area overlooking the pool. This villa was absolutely beautiful inside and out, the photos don’t do it justice, and the kitchen and utility room is well stocked with everything you need. There is an Aldi 7 minutes drive away, there is a closer supermarket if preferred. The villa is situated close enough, but far enough away, we had a hire car from Top Car, which we toured the whole island. We will definitely be back."

"After a couple of hick-ups with our room in the beginning that were sorted out well, we liked the room very much. We spent 2 weeks there while travelling the whole island with our rented car. We had a nice holiday despite the very strong winds on the island. We didn’t use the beaches for a long time like in other beach holidays but we travelled and seen almost everything in the whole island. Breakfast was a bit too boring for us and ended up eating mostly fruits which were in abundance and we bought dips and snacks from Aldi and Lidl not far from Yaiza. Overall we enjoyed the stay."

"The staff were excellent. The room was spotless. We had a heavy downpour on or first night which caused a slight issue with our room. The following morning I reported this to reception and she told me she would send up a maintenance man to have a look. Within 15 mins the man arrived and said we will change your room. He left and five mins later reception rang to say they were changing our room.I have to give the staff at reception 10/10 for such a prompt response. caused a slight issue in the room. The next morning I reported ."
