"The hotel was very nice, although tucked away from most shopping or dining places, the restaurants and bars were good. Our only negative was the breakfast was a little expensive and the spa service asked if we wanted firm pressure or light pressure and even though we asked for firm pressure and told the lady we wanted firm pressure it was more of a Rub down than a massage. Otherwise we enjoyed everything about our stay."

"I and my girlfriend had an wonderful stay at Ipanema Inn. The staff is absolutely courteous, the included breakfast is amazing and the location is perfect. I was expecting kind of a normalish inn based on the pictures, but the room was very nice and was kept clean daily. Many bonus points to the in-room hammock! We had a great leisure time."

"Stayed two nights here after having spent two nights at a different hotel in Copacabana. The difference in both neighbourhood and accommodation were immediate. The staff were very welcoming and offered a welcome drink which I had on the rooftop before my room was ready. Great views from the roof and my room as well (could see Cristo Redentor). Had dinner and breakfast from the adjoining restaurant which were both very good. "

"**Tourist beware** The host does not include the exact location of the property in the listing and did not provide details about how to get to the property until after booking was complete. What the host hid from the booking: The property is up on a hill inside the park, which is NOT accessible by uber. You can only get to the property from a very rough and unsafe dirt road. The only option is to rent a car or hire a driver for extra cost. The owner did not disclose this very important detail before booking and when we realized it was too much of an inconvenience for us and would impact the quality of our trip, we were already past the refund period and we lost 50% of our booking fee (coincidence I’m sure…). This withholding of information until after booking is at best an unethical business practice and worst potentially a scam. Be careful with booking and ensure this meets your needs before booking so you don’t lose money like we did. "
