The location is near the Ipanema beach, safer than Copacabana, the rooms and facilities are nice and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We reserved the 6 hour city/Cristo tour with them which was a good choice. We also enjoyed the spa for massages which were also very nice. "

The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"Amazing stay! Stayed at the Janeiro hotel for 3 nights with a group of 4 friends and everything from the rooms to the service was impeccable. Rooms are large, very well designed, and very comfortable, with added personalized touches that made our stay all the more special. Bathrooms are also quite large and the shower is amazing. We enjoyed our welcome drinks from the rooftop which has a really nice view (and the drink options also top notch) and a nice ambiance at night. Did not get a chance to try the restaurant except for ordering from the beach, which I will say took a very long time to arrive. Other than that the stay was absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay again! "
