Despite this proximity to the heart of the pilgrimage site, the hotel remains a peaceful haven, while still being just steps away from various local shops and authentic restaurants. The service here is equally impressive; the staff is remarkably friendly and went above and beyond by having our room ready at 11:00 AM, significantly earlier than the published check-in time. They also provided helpful luggage storage, which allowed us to explore the area freely. Our stay in Room 307 was flawless and remarkably clean, featuring spotless floors and crisp, fresh towels and sheets. With thoughtful amenities like a reliable thermostat and a hair dryer, the room provided a comfortable and pristine home base for a truly reflective visit. "

"It’s only the janitorial staff that were truly nice and respectful, which was in stark contrast to the staff I interacted with regarding the bed bugs I discovered in my pillow. The two staff members, particularly the lady, were unprofessional. When I requested to speak with her about a concern, she simply pointed to a contact information sheet and seemed dismissive of my presence. The establishment is clean and well-maintained, except for the bed bugs that I found on my pillow."

"The hotel sustained some damage during the January 2026 storms. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The breakfast had extensive options, everything was fresh and in abundance. Parking was very convenient. Location was close to attractions, and many restaurants. I would stay at this hotel again if I was in this area."

"The young ladies at check in were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is on a very busy tight street with no place to stop near the entrance for luggage drop off. And there is no parking. Town parking lots available (5-7 minute walk away)after supper but before that difficult to find parking. We booked the castle view room and seemed clean enough at first glance but very basic. I first noticed the ants while in the bathroom. We had our luggage up on a stand but open, the next morning our suitcases were crawling with ants. Bed was not comfortable."

"Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Very central, but extremely quiet. Parking right outside the hotel front door is a plus, and accomodates all sizes of cars. Excellent breakfast, and the automated coffee machine has decaf selections, too! The hotel is literally surrounded by the river, and there are senches to enjoy peaceful time outside. The staff is excellent and helps make tge stay exceptional. Would stay here again."
