Clean room with good working AC. Bathroom was a little run down but completely adequate condition for the price of the room. very nice view from the top balcony off the communal kitchen, you can see the lighthouse. "Verdelago is literally heaven on earth! We travel often and we generally stay at higher end places, so we are quite spoiled, but this resort is probably the nicest we have ever stayed at. The decor is beautiful and the natural setting is absolutely gorgeous. The beach is incredible and you can lounge on a fancy beach bed or chair, which is included. The food at the pool bar is quite good. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one evening and the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We were there for 4 days during the 3rd week of June, so it was not quite peak season. The resort was fairly quiet, especially for the first part of the week (which we enjoyed). It will likely get busier as time goes on since they are currently building an additional area (which is scheduled to open in 2028). This was our first trip to Portugal (and the Algarve region) and we are already planning a trip back!"
