"Not love at first sight, when I saw the exterior I regretted booking here. Shabby and too big. (This fact was not stated on the booking site.) Room not much better, didn’t sleep well for our 3 nights. No bar fridge, so couldn’t buy anything that needed it. Shower in bath, with a shower curtain, I dislike both these things. Overall clean, but no attention to detail. Back of bathroom door was filthy, as was the drawer with hairdryer in it. Area is nice, no shopping close by. Overall very disappointing."

"It was an okay stay for the amount we paid. Staff didn't go above and beyond. For example, the shower was broken (there was a handheld shower head we could use instead) and despite telling the staff my issue and a couple of other things which were an issue in the room, they didn't fix them during the time I was there. They weren't deal breakers, but I still feel like the issues could've been resolved for a great overall stay."

"Room was nice but looked bigger in pictures. The bathroom was slightly disappointing also just aesthetically. Nothing against accessible rooms as they are essential, but when you haven’t booked one it doesn’t feel as nice. We didn’t eat breakfast but did order stick n sushi as room service which was lovely and fun. Tv worked well screen casting. Would be nice to have more coffee choices"

"For the most part the place was nice and I'd most likely stay again. Though it was a little far from the city proper, the public transportation was very useful. There is the water ferry and the busses that can get you to the underground easily enough. There were 2 things that prevent me from giving all the stars. The internet and the elevator. From the lobby the internet worked perfectly, but from our room is spotty at best. I'd say we could connect for maybe 10 minutes before it going out. The only way to re-connect was to forget the connection and sign in again. It was very annoying. The other issue was the elevator for 'our' tower was down 3 or 4 times we tried to use it. There were other elevators close enough. 4/5 stars"

"Vertus Edit is simply beyond superb. The rooms are always absolutely value for money. Spacious and complete with amenities (Fridge etc) Location at Canary Wharf is extremely convenient. Few minutes walk to Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line and DLR. Property is surrounded by Restaurants, Shopping and Grocery stores. I have stayed at Vertus Edit multiple times since they opened AND will definitely be staying here again"

"Really really run down hotel. Terrible pillows and beds - not just average, way below average, lumpy, hard. No safe in room. No fridge in room. No AC. Mugs and glasses in room never cleaned during the stay. But the worst part was absolutely the bed and pillows, which are kind of hotel 101? The only good thing in the room was that there was an iron and clothes."
