"I had a lovely time at Lavender home stay. The location is perfect, close to the lake but a little tucked away from the main strip meaning you have some privacy. The room was spacious and tidy with a big bathroom, I didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it seemed very clean and other guests were enjoying it. Nam, the owner, was amazing, so kind and friendly, gave great recommendations and was helpful."

"Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride. "It is a beautiful NEW resort with VERY friendly staff in a great location in beautiful Nihn Binh. Because it is fairly new there are some things that with time will get improved. We had 4 rooms and for some reason one room wasn't cleaned - we asked that they at least take out the bin with dirty toilet paper while we went out to dinner but it wasn't done. When coming back from dinner the lights to our area wasn't turned on and I stubbed my toe on the step. Would love if the restaurant would serve...
