"Baan Khong Tara is relatively new Thai style hotel. Although it is located outside Ayutthaya Island, it is quite near Wat Chaiwattanaram (2km) and there are several ways to get to the city. The home-stay breakfast was great ! Services overall was excellent. There are good quality bikes for rent if you like cycling around. Roughly the place can accommodate 12 car parking. Value for money !"

"The Phuttal Residence is located on a beautiful river/canal. We stayed in the family apartment, though there were just the two of us. The furniture and accommodations were nothing fancy, but everything was clean and orderly. The breakfast was excellent. Even though we had a kitchen, we did not cook. Please note that you will need to order a taxi to find a restaurant. It is about a 10 minute drive to center of Ayutthaya."

"It's a home that has been converted into a 5 room hotel. There is free parking. It's cramped, but there's parking. It's on the river, which is nice, but you'll hear river boats throughout the day and night. Because it is formerly a house, you'll hear the guests next door pretty easily. From the brown towels, brown bed linen and brown blankets to the access to the rooms via a yard full of junk and up uneven stairs it was disappointing. The owner is friendly and breakfast is ok. "The staff were very friendly and helpful- the guesthouse is located down an alleyway but the one facing the street is operated by the same team, so there was a bit of confusion at first when checking in but it was quickly settled. The owners were so gracious and welcoming, helped me plan my day, and helped make all the necessary arrangements. Truly Thai hospitality at its best. I can’t thank them enough. "

"When we arrived there was no one. Just 2 little barking dogs that mad the place small like a dog's place. Soi dogs (friendly) on the stairs. The landlord only talked to my wife. No registration of my passport. This is not according to the law. The room is spacious and is actually a small appartment. The breakfast was more or less ok. It could be very nice but you just don't feel welcome and I suspect that there are a lot of hotels in the neighborhood that make you feel a lot better 'at home'."
