We had an overall good stay. We walked around Philadelphia and went to a Phillies game. We rode the city-provided bikes back from the game. There is a liquor store and a corner bodega on the same block.The BnB was nice. It had everything we needed.

Would stay there again if mattress was updated

Owner was super fast with communication which was amazing. Place was clean and beautiful. Location was not what i expected. Bed could have been more comfortable, but other than the bed, very homey. Washer and dryer was a great convenience.

Communication was excellent. Issue with number of towels and bedding resolved promptly. Property was clean and kitchen was up to date. Would like to return in better weather to use the outside amenities. Overall, the facility added to the trip at a reasonable price for the area.

I wouldn't call this place luxury. It was comfortable enough overall but there was a lot of noise from neighbors at all hours and a leak in the kitchen.

Great place, but a lock problem.

Place was clean, pleasant and well-equipped. Surprisingly quiet! Comfortable bed and good appliances. One big negative: it was VERY hard to get in. The lockbox is mechanical & doesn’t work well. Had a hard time leaving as well, same reason. He should get a digital one.

The location was close enough to take an Uber into the main city part of Philadelphia. The bedding was very comfortable. Communication with the host was great and they messaged me throughout my stay to see if I needed anything which I appreciated. I liked that there was a full kitchen and living/dining area. The kitchen and living area is reached by a narrow spiral staircase. I only went up there a couple times but the space was nice. The spiral staircase wasn't too much of a problem for me personally, but it is something to keep in mind if you are a person with mobility issues. The price was great considering it was a full apartment to myself. Overalll I enjoyed my stay and would book here again if I stay in Philadelphia in the future.

Weekend Roots Stay

The outside of the property wasn’t clean, it was trash and boxes that smelled outside. That wasn’t a good sight to see. Upon entering the unit, the bed had particles on it that I had to brush/ clean off. The towels in the bathroom didn’t looked clean. So, I went out and got my own. Besides that everything was ok and comfortable.

I want my money back!

When I ariveed I couldn't enter the place, because the code I was given didn’t work. I called to get assistance, but no one answered. I had to book another location for the night. I called Hotels.com the next day for assistance with a refund. When they called the property managers they received no answer as well. I had to book a third location for the weekend. I still haven't received a refund.

Very convenient location, Dining, grocery shopping, outdoor exercising, public transportation, all within a few minutes walking distance. Overall house condition is okay. Quite old, only partially renovated. Also a bit noisy when the air conditioner or the washer is running. On the other hand, it is spacious and not pricy. The kitchen and the in-house laundry is very convenient. The stairs may be the only thing that took me a little while to get used to. Fortunately, my size is small. If you are tall and strong, this may not be a good option for you. Owner is also very nice and flexible. So I was able to do an early check in without dragging my luggage on the street for hours. Overall I like my stay here.

Poor communication with the code to enter the property. Email not received. Had to call them. Property is a tad hyped up on the website. The biggest disappointment was the BEDROOM! There was basically a COT in the room ……. that was it!!!! Not even a stand with a small lamp. The COT just was in the middle of the floor. Nothing else. If you’re staying in the city and have no plans of going outside of it, the location is perfect (however, not the best of neighborhoods). If you are going outside of the city, it’s a rather aggravating drive. I would not recommend it for that. A 1 or 2 night stay IN THE CITY is good though. Would not book again.

West Philly's Best Kept Secret - INCREDIBLE

My stay here was so enjoyable that I already miss it, I was sad to leave, and I can't wait to go back! TheU-BnB has to be West Philly's best kept lodging secret --- I normally stay in hotels but this trip opted to try something different, and I am SO glad I did! From the moment I booked, I felt completely comfortable -- the communication from the owner was immediate and detailed. I arrived in the wee hours of the morning and struggled to find parking on the street (Friday night) but I managed, and the rest of my stay it was totally doable, I was able to park very close. So much was within walking distance, as well -- the location is excellent. The apartment has been renovated very well, it's SO clean, and oh-so-charming! And perfectly affordable! I was a little nervous about the spiral staircase but I got used to it and I absolutely LOVE the vibe. (It should be noted that the bathroom is on the second level of the main floor apt, in case you struggle with stairs.) I found the bed to be super comfortable and the bedding is soft and welcoming after a long day of touring Philly. The back patio is totally private and relaxing, as well. I literally CANNOT say enough about how much I love this place, and I can't wait to go back!! THANK YOU for such an incredible experience!!!

Was pretty good: I would rate it 4/5 because the stairs is so tiny and if you’re someone who have big thighs like I do, then I can be really annoying if you forget something downstairs, I didn’t even bring my suitcase upstairs because the stairs wouldn’t have enough space for myself and a suitcase. The fan above the bed was dusty so I wiped some parts with toilet paper, sheets had a really heavy smell so I had my friend bring me one. Used my own towel as well because I didn’t trust the cleanliness. The street parking can be really bothersome because I’m so used to having endless places to park in Florida that it became difficult to adjust, I was lucky twice that I was able to find one parking space by the church or a bit further down. Fridge was clean, downstairs looked nice, quiet neighborhood even though it’s west Philly.

This property was great for my weekend stay in Philly. Home away from home. There was no staff or property manager onsite but they reached out everyday to make sure everything was ok. The location was close to the attractions I wanted to see . The neighbors were nice and there was a convenient store and doughnut shop within walking distance. I would stay again.

Garbage from prior renters wss not taken out pizza boxes were left on counters. Refrigerator did not work, there is no sofa bed, and during my stay was a snow atorm all 3 night i was there heat did not work apt heat did not go above 67 degrees.
