The resort is very dated for what they are “hyped” up for on social media. I don’t believe any part besides maybe the “wellness spa” has been updated since building. The staff were polite, we enjoyed Fat Jacks for dinner and drinks(Shout out to Wives at the bar, me and the foreigners loved them!). The onsite steak house sold out of most popular dishes Friday night, before the big weekend of bike fans arrived.

The setting is delightful and the staff are well informed. The room is large, and had a fridge and safe, very useful. The restaurant at the hotel was good and the wait staff where wonderful. The property is looking tired and needs a refresh, no ice machine on the floor I was on, the pool was cool, no chair in the double queen room except for the office chair, and the shuttle for Swiss Days has been discontinued, that was a big reason I stayed at the property. I couldn't find a phone number on line to contact the hotel and ask if that was still an option. Overall a good stay and a wonderful location in a beautiful setting.

Very accommodating staff. They let my kids ride the carousel as much as they wanted. The indoor/outdoor pool is such a fun concept and the indoor waterfall is so relaxing. The gym is nice and I loved the included on-site sauna and steam room. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Stayed room 132. Nice room. Easy access to parking lot and pool. Our room temp was at 60 degrees. Thermostat on heat mode made NO difference. Maintenance tech said the hotel heat comes from a boiler and a number of other rooms were experiencing same issue. The telephone in room was dead. No way to call front desk. iPhone website phone numbers on went to booking agent in another city. No way or number to reach the office except by foot. We finally got extra blankets delivered for the night. But service lady did not speak or understand English! Front desk did offer for us to change rooms but too late. We were already spread out for the night.

We enjoy staying here! The resort does show some age. Our mattress caved in a bit in the middle, sheets are not soft, one of the onsite restaurants is closed, and the other is ok, but not the best food we've had. The onsite bakery is tasty! Staff is always friendly!

The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was AWESOME. The location was great. However, the pool had two broken plastic chairs that actually collapsed as we sat in them…OUCH! The plastic loungers were uncomfy for a “resort” that charges a resort fee of $40 a day. There was only one average size hot tub which was crowded each night; for a “resort” not great. The volleyball was full of weeds. But, the mini golf was fun, the carousel, the bakery etc were great. Fun place for kids but next time we’ll probably go to The Homestead and not pay a daily fee. Overall, it was a good stay other than the pool issues.

I did not use the pool. The courtyard was Beaufort. We say at a table and watercolor painted while looking at a beautiful view.
