"Great place for the $$$> This is a very expensive area of Italy and we were gratetful for these rooms. The staff was amazing - like really nice and friendly and very helpful. I had made some mistakes on the booking and the staff member, Mobed or something - really went out of his way to take care of my family and get us all set up. The morning breakfast was fantastic. The service again was really good and the food was amazing. Coffee, meats, pastries, breads and juice. The hotel is a little older but clean and well taken care of."

"The ambiance - gorgeous location with the cozy feel of a traditional alpine lodge. There's a ski resort around the corner. It looks like a fun vacation town for the summer, too. The staff were helpful and friendly."

"Our stay at Hotel Orso Grigio was wonderful. We stayed in the summer and enjoyed the Dolomites for hikes and sightseeing. The hotel is in a great area, very close to both the west and the east Dolomite landmarks and sights, but outside of the busy city vibe of Cortina D’Ampezzo. The town is rural and quiet but has all the basic stores, restaurants and necessities. It provides the vibe that one would expect when visiting the Alps. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel. We had a car so I am not sure where the bus goes but I would assume it’s for local traffic and not sights. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and kind. They have 3 different saunas and a pool/jacuzzi which was well maintained and clean. The restaurant has very good food, one of the best in the area. Breakfast was a delicious abundant buffet and dinner is a prefix menu, on the fancy side. All local hotels offer this type of dinner option only. To eat a la carte you should visit a Refugio. Across the street of the hotel is a ski lift to the top of Mt. Fertazza. I highly recommend this trip. It has a splendid view of both valleys, surrounding mountains, some easy hikes on top, and a great Restoro Belvedere that serves truly delicious authentic Alpine food with exceptional service. Overall our experience at Hotel Orso Grigio was excellent and we would return again. "

"Plenty of space and effectively appointed. Internet was down during our stay so no access to TV / internet. Plenty of space to eat, sleep, etc. however quite a closed unit with small windows, not letting a lot of light in. They had left a bottle of wine, and some breakfast food, etc., which was nice. Washing machine powder, dishwasher tablets, all included. "
