​I always aim to provide fair feedback, but the severe breakdown in communication and standards during this stay must be addressed. ​Despite booking and paying nearly a week in advance, check-in was unacceptable. The host promised check-in details 4 hours prior to arrival. After two long flights, no credentials had been sent, building security had no record of our reservation, and the host was completely unresponsive to Hotels.com customer service agents trying to intervene. Only after hours of stress—and while the support rep was actively starting an emergency relocation—did the host finally respond to an external WhatsApp message. ​The issues did not end there: ​Noise & Misrepresentation: Instead of the advertised view, the unit directly faced an active construction site with loud banging early every morning. ​Plumbing Failure: The toilet backed up, and with no plunger or maintenance supplies in the unit, we had to leave the apartment entirely to use the building's gym restroom. ​While the apartment itself was clean, the total failure in check-in communication, morning construction noise, and lack of functional plumbing made this stay unacceptable. Given the clear failure to deliver standard hospitality, a meaningful credit or partial refund is warranted.
