This place was amazing!!!! Recommend! Check in was quick and easy. The views are spectacular on top of the mountain. The room was cozy and with a kitchen which we didn’t use. We left our car in the parking lot and took a tuk tuk to Panajachel for Q10 each person instead of paying Q10 per hour in parking!!! Very safe and Quiet!!
They just opened up 6 months ago. No hit water, toilette plugged up. At check out attendant ran to stop us from leaving premises as one towel had a brown stain. We explained it was like that from before, she wanted to charge us for it. We said no, no incoming report done and it was not us. Staff untrained, view good but place not good
The view of Lake Atitlan was absolutely breathtaking, magical, and mesmerizing and the grounds were stunning!! The dishes and pots and pans, fridge were in great condition. The townhown was well decorated and comfy and felt homelike.
However, I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the stunning view of Lake Atitlán because the staff and guests were constantly (5-6 times/day) walking by my public balcony/porch window.
Sometimes, they glanced over into my apt briefly while walking by. This was upsetting, felt invasive, nosey, immature, and rude! My purpose of this trip was to enjoy the view of the lake while studying, working and meditating in peace and quiet.
Also, there were several winding stairs to climb to get to the apt. The concrete steps were painted in smooth green paint, which made them slippery, especially when it was raining. The owner helped me carry my luggage up the stairs.
There was a very loud bell attached to a tree right outside my apt, which rang off and on and into the night. I asked a staff what was the purpose of it, but due to the language barrier, I didn't understand him.
He showed me the button outside the office door which rang the bell. If a guest needs something, not sure why they couldn't contact them through WhatsApp, like I did.
Based on this experience, I will not return to this property again. It will not allow me to attach photos. Otherwise, I will show ppl constantly walking very close by my balcony window.
