"We recently stayed at the Cambria Hotel for Mother’s Day weekend. As we walked by the downstairs dining area, it honestly looked like a complimentary hotel breakfast setup. There were no visible prices, menus, signs, or flyers anywhere explaining the cost.
We asked to be seated, and the waitress mentioned they had bottomless mimosas for Mother’s Day and instructed us to go up to the buffet tables and grab whatever we wanted. The food selection was very basic: fruit, eggs, chicken sausage, pastries, a small charcuterie section, and an omelet station. There was nothing premium or upscale — no steak and eggs, no seafood, not even bacon for the eggs or bagel section.
At the end of our meal, I finally flagged down the waitress to ask if there was a charge or if we just needed to leave a tip. To my surprise, the bill came out to $472.67 for 7 people — over $60 per person for what looked and felt like a standard complimentary breakfast buffet.
Had pricing been clearly posted or explained beforehand, we would have made a different decision. The lack of transparency was extremely disappointing and honestly felt very misleading."
"Good front desk staff but how shocked was I to discover a $100 additional charge for my dogs. I did not see that when booking and would encourage you to find a way to link the fact that one searches for pet friendly locations and then show them the fees. And no one mentions the spring winds that made walking outside the doors of this hotel possible. As a person over 80 years of age, it would have been helpful to know the conditions that might affect older persons. The rest of the location was extremely ordinary for no further information on this now."
"The door in my room was not locking and the front desk guy was not very helpful because he said he was working alone so I had to put a chair by the door until the next morning "
